The driver neglects to check the result of platform_get_irq()'s call and
blithely passes the negative error codes to request_threaded_irq() (which

Add support for retrying core reset and re-initialization in host

During dwc3 suspend clk_disable is directly getting
called without calling clk_enable in dwc3 resume
functionality for SS Phy. This fix add a check and
disables clock only if it is enabled.

PMIC on certain targets does not support DP DM pulsing.
This is needed to support detection of HVDCP chargers.
Add support for DP DM pulsing in the HS PHY driver that
PMIC can rely on, to dectect these chargers.

Chargers on some platforms do not support FLOAT charger
detection. On these platforms, the float charger can be
detected depending on the state of the DP and DM lines as
detected by the PHY.
So, on these platforms check for the DP DM line state
and if found floating, do not start the peripheral mode
and notify PMIC -ETIMEDOUT implying the connected
charger is of type float.

power off the phy should be done before populate the phy. Otherwise,
am335x_init() could be called by the phy owner to power on the phy first,
then am335x_phy_probe() turns off the phy again without the caller knowing
it.

This reverts commit 563b2f7a6bed72d34560df5f4358e948eb52a43f.
The previous approach of dynamically updating the writeable
permission bits of the power/data_role attributes only works
if the userspace application has root permission since the
call to sysfs_update_group() removes and re-adds the files. If
they had previously been chown/chgrp'ed, the ownership would be
reset. On the other hand, if there was a ueventd rule to
dynamically update the ownership, then the mode would always
be overridden with the static umask given in the ueventd rule,
contradicting the driver's determination of writeability.
Hence, the more comprehensive fix should be done in userspace
to not rely solely on writeability. Still, this change needs
to be reverted since it can still cause a race between ueventd
and the userspace service trying to check writability.

Currently the SSUSB QMP PHY driver mandates that vls_clamp_reg be
passed from the DTSI. But this register cannot be accessed on a
platform on which Linux is a guest OS. This can lead to errors
when trying to enable autonomous mode. Work around this situation
by making the vls_clamp_reg property as optional.

Currently driver is not powering down QMP PHY if target is booted
up without cable connected. Due to this, 0.3mA leakage current is seen
during standby mode if power measured after bootup. Fix this by
putting QMP PHY in power down state during disconnect.

USB type-C compliance test 4.5.6(DRP Connect Try.SNK DRP) is failing
because super speed communication(link layer) does not stop upon
moving from Attached.SRC to Unattached.SNK state. This happens because
in Attached.SRC state hub driver performs re-tries to enumerate the
device(exerciser) and upon failure resets the bus. As a result in the
middle of re-tries when cc line gets disconnected, unloading XHCI stack
takes longer to finish and auto suspend kicks in afterwards to initiate
mdwc runtime suspend which powers down ss phy. Hence power down ss phy as
soon as phy disconnect notification comes which happens before XHCI driver
is unloaded.

The driver doesn't have a struct of_device_id table but supported devices
are registered via Device Trees. This is working on the assumption that a
I2C device registered via OF will always match a legacy I2C device ID and
that the MODALIAS reported will always be of the form i2c:<device>.
But this could change in the future so the correct approach is to have an
OF device ID table if the devices are registered via OF.

Update the TUNE2 parameter by adjusting the programmed tune2 value
with the correction value, if mentioned in dtsi to improve rise/fall times.
In case efuse register value is zero after correction, write previous TUNE2
register value as it is instead of writing hardcoded value. And correction
value should be between [-10 5] in order to take into consideration while
updating TUNE2 register with fused value.

lfps_rxterm interrupt is not seen on attaching USB super speed device when
USB is into LPM with USB host mode without device attach case. This change
fixes below issues to get lfps_rxterm interrupt to resume USB.
1. Correct polarity of lfps rxterm interrupt from edge trigger to level
trigger
2. Notify USB SS PHY driver about USB host cable status to allow required
configuration while USB SS PHY is being suspended.
3. Also it is required to clear ALFPS_DTCT_EN and set ARCVR_DTCT_EVENT_SEL
when USB SS PHY is being suspended with host cable connected case to detect
next super speed device attach condition using lfps_rxterm interrupt.

Currently PHY driver is using TCSR_QUSB2PHY_CLAMP_DIG_N_1P8 register
to avoid leakage issue seen during disconnect. But this could fail
USB ports working independently if this register is used as that
could clamp both inputs going to two QUSB2 PHY on platforms having
USB2 port. To fix this, it is recommended to powerdown QUSB2 PHY
by setting powerdown bit in QUSB2PHY_PORT_POWER_DOWN register
during disconnect and removing writing 0x0 to TCSR register. Removed
updating TCSR register from dts file as separate change.

Upon cable disconnect PMI calls qusb_phy_update_dpdm() to turn off phy
regulators before notifying vbus off to usb. As a result phy power down
sequence is executed with phy regulators turned off. This may result into
improper phy line state. Fix this issue by adding a reference counter to
keep track of all regulator enable and disable requests and only disable
regulator when ref count becomes zero. Also add a mutex in
qusb_phy_enable_power() API to prevent any race condition in enabling and
disabling phy regulators between the callers i.e. PMI and phy driver.

QUSB PHY requires VDD, 1p8 and 3p1 regulators to remove any unwanted
pull downs on DP/DM lines. These pull downs may result in incorrect charger
detection by PMI. Avoid incorrect charger detection by turning on VDD,
1p8 and 3p1 whenever PMI requests DP/DM to be floating.

The specific voltage levels for the vdda33 regulator may vary
depending on the target. Add an optional device tree property to
allow specifying a 3-tuple of voltages for minimum, operating
and maximum voltage levels. The minimum level is used when simply
powering on, whereas the operating level is used when initializing
the PHY.

commit a3e98f0134da ("usb: phy: qmp: Select usb3 phy mode before
initializing PHY") moved the USB/DP mode selection to just prior
to performing PHY initialization. This resolved initialization
failure however it still may fail to result in SuperSpeed
enumeration on when first switching from DP back to USB3 mode.
According to HW documentation the correct place to perform the
mode switch is while the PHY is under reset, so move this step
to msm_ssphy_qmp_reset().

In the cases that have FPC cable between main board and sub-board, USB
connector located on sub-board, add re-drive chipset on sub-board to
make sure the signal of rx/tx for super-speed is good enough.

dual_role_instance_changed() is called by drivers when updating
the state of the dual_role port device. In some cases a driver
may wish to dynamically update the visibility, in particular the
write permissions of some of its attributes. For instance,
'data_role' and 'power_role' can be writeable if they can be
changed independently, as in the case of a USB PD capable device,
but may need to be set back to non-writeable when a non-PD device
is attached.
Add a call to sysfs_update_group() in dual_role_changed_work()
which updates the attributes by calling the .is_visible() callback
again, which in turn calls dual_role_property_is_writeable() to
re-check whether write permission should be set or not. Move
dual_role_changed_work() toward the end of the file as it now
needs the definition of dual_role_attr_group.
