* | | usb: phy: qmp: Remove QMP PHY revision based initialization sequenceMayank Rana2016-03-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This change removes QMP PHY revision based initialization sequence from QMP PHY driver. It also makes mandatory to get this sequence from devicetree except if qcom,emulation is set. Signed-off-by: Mayank Rana <mrana@codeaurora.org>
* | | usb: phy: qmp: Remove both phy_clk_scheme based init functionalityMayank Rana2016-03-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently QMP PHY driver expects to have both se_clk and diff_clk based PHY initialization sequence from devicetree. This change removes need of both phy_clk_scheme based init sequence as on newer platform QMP PHY only uses one of phy_clk_scheme. Signed-off-by: Mayank Rana <mrana@codeaurora.org>
* | | usb: phy: qusb: Add support to get phy_clk_schemeMayank Rana2016-03-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This change adds qcom,phy-clk-scheme mandatory property with QUSB PHY driver. qcom,phy-clk-scheme property must have "cml" (i.e. DIFF clock scheme) or "cmos" (i.e. SE clock scheme). Based on this input qusb phy driver uses required reset and initialization sequence. Signed-off-by: Mayank Rana <mrana@codeaurora.org>
* | | USB: PHY: Remove TCSR register based clk_scheme usageMayank Rana2016-03-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On newer platform TCSR register based clk_scheme usage is not available. Hence remove its usage from QUSB and QMP PHY drivers. Signed-off-by: Mayank Rana <mrana@codeaurora.org>
* | | usb: Remove DPDM pulsing functionalityMayank Rana2016-03-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This change removes DP DM pulsing functionality related support from QUSB PHY driver as it is not required. Signed-off-by: Mayank Rana <mrana@codeaurora.org>
* | | usb: phy: qusb: Expose DP/DM operations as a regulatorJack Pham2016-03-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of having the controller driver call the PHY's DP/DM properties on behalf of the charger driver to enable and disable the regulator, allow the PHY to expose a regulator device. The charger driver then obtains a handle to this regulator to perform regulator enable and disable directly. This driver registers for extcon events as part of its probe, but never unregisters them in case of error in the probe path. There were multiple issues noticed due to this missing error handling. One of them is random crashes if the regulators are not ready yet by the time probe is invoked. Ivan's previous attempt [1] to fix this issue, did not really address all the failure cases like regualtor/get_irq failures. [1] https://lkml.org/lkml/2015/9/7/62 Without this patch the kernel would carsh with log: ... This is useful when a battery-charger is intimately associated with a particular phy but handled by a separate driver. The charger can find the device_node based on sibling relationships without the need for a redundant declaration in the devicetree description. As a peripheral that gets a phy will often want to register a notifier block, and de-register it later, that functionality is included so the de-registration is automatic. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 'enum extcon' type This patch just redefine the unique id of supported external connectors without 'enum extcon' type. Because unique id would be used on devictree file(*.dts) to indicate the specific external connectors like key number of input framework. So, I have the plan to move this definitions to following header file which includes the unique id of supported external connectors. - include/dt-bindings/extcon/extcon.h Fixes: 2a9de9c0f08d ("extcon: Use the unique id for external connector instead of string") Signed-off-by: Chanwoo Choi <cw00.choi@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
