* crypto: chacha20poly1305 - set cra_name correctlyEric Biggers2019-06-11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 5e27f38f1f3f45a0c938299c3a34a2d2db77165a upstream. If the rfc7539 template is instantiated with specific implementations, e.g. "rfc7539(chacha20-generic,poly1305-generic)" rather than "rfc7539(chacha20,poly1305)", then the implementation names end up included in the instance's cra_name. This is incorrect because it then prevents all users from allocating "rfc7539(chacha20,poly1305)", if the highest priority implementations of chacha20 and poly1305 were selected. Also, the self-tests aren't run on an instance allocated in this way. Fix it by setting the instance's cra_name from the underlying algorithms' actual cra_names, rather than from the requested names. This matches what other templates do. * crypto: chacha20poly1305 - validate the digest sizeEric Biggers2018-01-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit e57121d08c38dabec15cf3e1e2ad46721af30cae upstream. If the rfc7539 template was instantiated with a hash algorithm with digest size larger than 16 bytes (POLY1305_DIGEST_SIZE), then the digest overran the 'tag' buffer in 'struct chachapoly_req_ctx', corrupting the subsequent memory, including 'cryptlen'. This caused a crash during crypto_skcipher_decrypt(). Fix it by, when instantiating the template, requiring that the underlying hash algorithm has the digest size expected for Poly1305. Reproducer: #include <linux/if_alg.h> #include <sys/socket.h> #include <unistd.h> int main() { int algfd, reqfd; struct sockaddr_alg addr = { .salg_type = "aead", .salg_name = "rfc7539(chacha20,sha256)", }; unsigned char buf[32] = { 0 }; algfd = socket(AF_ALG, SOCK_SEQPACKET, 0); bind(algfd, (void *)&addr, sizeof(addr)); setsockopt(algfd, SOL_ALG, ALG_SET_KEY, buf, sizeof(buf)); reqfd = accept(algfd, 0, 0); write(reqfd, buf, 16); read(reqfd, buf, 16); } Reported-by: syzbot <syzkaller@googlegroups.com> Fixes: 71ebc4d1b27d ("crypto: chacha20poly1305 - Add a ChaCha20-Poly1305 AEAD construction, RFC7539") Signed-off-by: Eric Biggers <ebiggers@google.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* crypto: aead - Remove CRYPTO_ALG_AEAD_NEW flagHerbert Xu2015-08-17
| | | | | | | This patch removes the CRYPTO_ALG_AEAD_NEW flag now that everyone has been converted. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>

* crypto: chacha20poly1305 - Convert to new AEAD interfaceHerbert Xu2015-07-17
| | | | | | | | | This patch converts rfc7539 and rfc7539esp to the new AEAD interface. The test vectors for rfc7539esp have also been updated to include the IV. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au> Tested-by: Martin Willi <martin@strongswan.org>
* crypto: poly1305 - Pass key as first two message blocks to each desc_ctxMartin Willi2015-06-17
| | | | | | | | | | The Poly1305 authenticator requires a unique key for each generated tag. This implies that we can't set the key per tfm, as multiple users set individual keys. Instead we pass a desc specific key as the first two blocks of the message to authenticate in update(). * crypto: chacha20poly1305 - Add an IPsec variant for RFC7539 AEADMartin Willi2015-06-04
| | | | | | | | | | draft-ietf-ipsecme-chacha20-poly1305 defines the use of ChaCha20/Poly1305 in ESP. It uses additional four byte key material as a salt, which is then used with an 8 byte IV to form the ChaCha20 nonce as defined in the RFC7539. * crypto: chacha20poly1305 - Add a ChaCha20-Poly1305 AEAD construction, RFC7539Martin Willi2015-06-04
This AEAD uses a chacha20 ablkcipher and a poly1305 ahash to construct the ChaCha20-Poly1305 AEAD as defined in RFC7539. It supports both synchronous and asynchronous operations, even if we currently have no async chacha20 or poly1305 drivers.
