* sh: Move the unified linker script in place, kill off old _64 one.Paul Mundt2009-05-09
| | | | | | | Just forcefully rename the _32 variant overtop, and kill off the now unused _64 version. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
* sh: Integrate sh64 bits in vmlinux_32.lds.S.Paul Mundt2009-05-09
| | | | | | | | This adds all of the requisite bits from vmlinux_64.lds.S in to the _32 variant, resulting in a unified and generic linker script that can be shared across both. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
* sh: convert to use __HEAD and HEAD_TEXT macros.Tim Abbott2009-04-26
| | | | | | | | | | | This has the consequence of changing the section name use for head code from ".text.head" to ".head.text". Since this commit changes all users in the architecture, this change should be harmless. * sh: Support fixed 32-bit PMB mappings from bootloader.Yoshihiro Shimoda2009-03-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | This provides a method for supporting fixed PMB mappings inherited from the bootloader, as an alternative to the dynamic PMB mapping currently used by the kernel. In the future these methods will be combined. P1/P2 area is handled like a regular 29-bit physical address, and local bus device are assigned P3 area addresses. * all archs: consolidate init and exit sections in vmlinux.lds.hSam Ravnborg2008-01-28
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch consolidate all definitions of .init.text, .init.data and .exit.text, .exit.data section definitions in the generic vmlinux.lds.h. This is a preparational patch - alone it does not buy us much good. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org>

* sh: Preparation for uncached jumps through PMB.Stuart Menefy2008-01-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | Presently most of the 29-bit physical parts do P1/P2 segmentation with a 1:1 cached/uncached mapping, jumping between the two to control the caching behaviour. This provides the basic infrastructure to maintain this behaviour on 32-bit physical parts that don't map P1/P2 at all, using a shiny new linker section and corresponding fixmap entry.
