Sockets can have a filter program attached that drops or trims
incoming packets based on the filter program return value.
Rose requires data packets to have at least ROSE_MIN_LEN bytes. It
verifies this on arrival in rose_route_frame and unconditionally pulls
the bytes in rose_recvmsg. The filter can trim packets to below this
value in-between, causing pull to fail, leaving the partial header at
the time of skb_copy_datagram_msg.
Place a lower bound on the size to which sk_filter may trim packets
by introducing sk_filter_trim_cap and call this for rose packets.

For performance reasons there are clients who would like to move
from stage 1 bypass to stage 1 enabled without having to stop their
device.
Currently clients need to stop their device because they have to
create the required stage 1 mappings before re-enabling the device.
Add the new DOMAIN_ATTR_EARLY_MAP domain attribute to allow clients
to create stage 1 mappings after attaching but before enabling
stage 1 translations.
If the clients set the DOMAIN_ATTR_EARLY_MAP domain attribute to 1
before attaching then then once they attach the SMMU driver won't
enable stage 1 translations. This gives the client the opportunity to
create the required early mappings (for example using iommu_map).
When the client has finished creating the necessary early mappings
the client can then set the DOMAIN_ATTR_EARLY_MAP domain attribute
to 0, this will in turn enable stage 1 translations.

There is a race between watchdog being enabled by hotplug and core
isolation disabling the watchdog. When a CPU is hotplugged in and
the hotplug lock has been released the watchdog thread might not
have run yet to enable the watchdog. We have to wait for the
watchdog to be enabled before proceeding.

The scheduler allocates memory for the task load structures during
fork. It then relies to sched_exit() to be called to free that memory.
However, if the fork itself fails at any point after the allocation,
the memory is left unclaimed forever. Fix this memory leak by freeing
the allocated memory under error conditions.

hdcp 2.2 message has multiple parts with different addresses.
Currently, each address is read/written as a separate aux
transactions. As, for a particular message, all parts are
read/written contiguously, make single aux transaction instead
of multiple transactions to avoid unnecessary aux delays.

Similar to commit 9b368814b336 ("net: fix bridge multicast packet checksum validation")
we need to fixup the checksum for CHECKSUM_COMPLETE when
pushing skb on RX path. Otherwise we get similar splats.

[ Upstream commit eb70db8756717b90c01ccc765fdefc4dd969fc74 ]
People who use PACKET_FANOUT_HASH want a symmetric hash, meaning that
they want packets going in both directions on a flow to hash to the
same bucket.
The core kernel SKB hash became non-symmetric when the ipv6 flow label
and other entities were incorporated into the standard flow hash order
to increase entropy.
But there are no users of PACKET_FANOUT_HASH who want an assymetric
hash, they all want a symmetric one.
Therefore, use the flow dissector to compute a flat symmetric hash
over only the protocol, addresses and ports. This hash does not get
installed into and override the normal skb hash, so this change has
no effect whatsoever on the rest of the stack.

commit 4c5ea0a9cd02d6aa8adc86e100b2a4cff8d614ff upstream.
The following scenario is possible:
CPU 1 CPU 2
static_key_slow_inc()
atomic_inc_not_zero()
-> key.enabled == 0, no increment
jump_label_lock()
atomic_inc_return()
-> key.enabled == 1 now
static_key_slow_inc()
atomic_inc_not_zero()
-> key.enabled == 1, inc to 2
return
** static key is wrong!
jump_label_update()
jump_label_unlock()
Testing the static key at the point marked by (**) will follow the
wrong path for jumps that have not been patched yet. This can
actually happen when creating many KVM virtual machines with userspace
LAPIC emulation; just run several copies of the following program:
#include <fcntl.h>
#include <unistd.h>
#include <sys/ioctl.h>
#include <linux/kvm.h>
int main(void)
{
for (;;) {
int kvmfd = open("/dev/kvm", O_RDONLY);
int vmfd = ioctl(kvmfd, KVM_CREATE_VM, 0);
close(ioctl(vmfd, KVM_CREATE_VCPU, 1));
close(vmfd);
close(kvmfd);
}
return 0;
}
Every KVM_CREATE_VCPU ioctl will attempt a static_key_slow_inc() call.
The static key's purpose is to skip NULL pointer checks and indeed one
of the processes eventually dereferences NULL.
As explained in the commit that introduced the bug:
706249c222f6 ("locking/static_keys: Rework update logic")
jump_label_update() needs key.enabled to be true. The solution adopted
here is to temporarily make key.enabled == -1, and use go down the
slow path when key.enabled <= 0.

The HOSTPC extension registers found in some EHCI implementations form
a variable-length array, with one element for each port. Therefore
the hostpc field in struct ehci_regs should be declared as a
zero-length array, not a single-element array.

Commit dead9f29ddcc ("perf: Fix race in BPF program unregister") moved
destruction of BPF program from free_event_rcu() callback to __free_event(),
which is problematic if used with tail calls: if prog A is attached as
trace event directly, but at the same time present in a tail call map used
by another trace event program elsewhere, then we need to delay destruction
via RCU grace period since it can still be in use by the program doing the
tail call (the prog first needs to be dropped from the tail call map, then
trace event with prog A attached destroyed, so we get immediate destruction).

[ Upstream commit daddef76c3deaaa7922f9d7b18edbf0a061215c3 ]
The implementation of net_dbg_ratelimited in the CONFIG_DYNAMIC_DEBUG
case was added with 2c94b5373 ("net: Implement net_dbg_ratelimited() for
CONFIG_DYNAMIC_DEBUG case"). The implementation strategy was to take the
usual definition of the dynamic_pr_debug macro, but alter it by adding a
call to "net_ratelimit()" in the if statement. This is, in fact, the
correct approach.
However, while doing this, the author of the commit forgot to surround
fmt by pr_fmt, resulting in unprefixed log messages appearing in the
console. So, this commit adds back the pr_fmt(fmt) invocation, making
net_dbg_ratelimited properly consistent across DEBUG, no DEBUG, and
DYNAMIC_DEBUG cases, and bringing parity with the behavior of
dynamic_pr_debug as well.

This backports da8b44d5a9f8bf26da637b7336508ca534d6b319 from upstream.
This patchset introduces a /proc/<pid>/timerslack_ns interface which
would allow controlling processes to be able to set the timerslack value
on other processes in order to save power by avoiding wakeups (Something
Android currently does via out-of-tree patches).
The first patch tries to fix the internal timer_slack_ns usage which was
defined as a long, which limits the slack range to ~4 seconds on 32bit
systems. It converts it to a u64, which provides the same basically
unlimited slack (500 years) on both 32bit and 64bit machines.
The second patch introduces the /proc/<pid>/timerslack_ns interface
which allows the full 64bit slack range for a task to be read or set on
both 32bit and 64bit machines.
With these two patches, on a 32bit machine, after setting the slack on
bash to 10 seconds:
$ time sleep 1
real 0m10.747s
user 0m0.001s
sys 0m0.005s
The first patch is a little ugly, since I had to chase the slack delta
arguments through a number of functions converting them to u64s. Let me
know if it makes sense to break that up more or not.
Other than that things are fairly straightforward.
This patch (of 2):
The timer_slack_ns value in the task struct is currently a unsigned
long. This means that on 32bit applications, the maximum slack is just
over 4 seconds. However, on 64bit machines, its much much larger (~500
years).
This disparity could make application development a little (as well as
the default_slack) to a u64. This means both 32bit and 64bit systems
have the same effective internal slack range.
Now the existing ABI via PR_GET_TIMERSLACK and PR_SET_TIMERSLACK specify
the interface as a unsigned long, so we preserve that limitation on
32bit systems, where SET_TIMERSLACK can only set the slack to a unsigned
long value, and GET_TIMERSLACK will return ULONG_MAX if the slack is
actually larger then what can be stored by an unsigned long.
This patch also modifies hrtimer functions which specified the slack
delta as a unsigned long.

If a suitable prepare callback cannot be found for a given device and
its driver has no PM callbacks at all, assume that it can go direct to
complete when the system goes to sleep.
The reason for this is that there's lots of devices in a system that do
no PM at all and there's no reason for them to prevent their ancestors
to do direct_complete if they can support it.

commit ce683e5f9d045e5d67d1312a42b359cb2ab2a13c upstream.
We're currently asserting that targetoff + targetsize <= nextoff.
Extend it to also check that targetoff is >= sizeof(xt_entry).
Since this is generic code, add an argument pointing to the start of the
match/target, we can then derive the base structure size from the delta.
We also need the e->elems pointer in a followup change to validate matches.

32bit rulesets have different layout and alignment requirements, so once
more integrity checks get added to xt_check_entry_offsets it will reject
well-formed 32bit rulesets.

commit 7d35812c3214afa5b37a675113555259cfd67b98 upstream.
Currently arp/ip and ip6tables each implement a short helper to check that
the target offset is large enough to hold one xt_entry_target struct and
that t->u.target_size fits within the current rule.
Unfortunately these checks are not sufficient.
To avoid adding new tests to all of ip/ip6/arptables move the current
checks into a helper, then extend this helper in followup patches.

Some information, like driver specific configuration, is found
in the perf event structure. As such pass a 'struct perf_event'
to function setup_aux() rather than just the CPU number so that
individual drivers can make the right configuration when setting
up a session.

It is entirely possible that some PMUs need specific configuration
that is currently not found in the perf options before a session
can be setup.
It is the case for the CoreSight PMU where a sink needs to be
provided. That sink doesn't fall in any of the current perf
options.
As such this patch adds the capability to receive driver
specific configuration using the existing ioctl() mechanism.
Once the configuration has been pushed down the kernel PMU
callbacks are used to deal with the information sent from user
space.

When kernel.perf_event_open is set to 3 (or greater), disallow all
access to performance events by users without CAP_SYS_ADMIN.
Add a Kconfig symbol CONFIG_SECURITY_PERF_EVENTS_RESTRICT that
makes this value the default.
This is based on a similar feature in grsecurity
(CONFIG_GRKERNSEC_PERF_HARDEN). This version doesn't include making
the variable read-only. It also allows enabling further restriction
at run-time regardless of whether the default is changed.

commit 759c01142a5d0f364a462346168a56de28a80f52 upstream.
On no-so-small systems, it is possible for a single process to cause an
OOM condition by filling large pipes with data that are never read. A
typical process filling 4000 pipes with 1 MB of data will use 4 GB of
memory. On small systems it may be tricky to set the pipe max size to
prevent this from happening.
This patch makes it possible to enforce a per-user soft limit above
which new pipes will be limited to a single page, effectively limiting
them to 4 kB each, as well as a hard limit above which no new pipes may
be created for this user. This has the effect of protecting the system
against memory abuse without hurting other users, and still allowing
pipes to work correctly though with less data at once.
The limit are controlled by two new sysctls : pipe-user-pages-soft, and
pipe-user-pages-hard. Both may be disabled by setting them to zero. The
default soft limit allows the default number of FDs per process (1024)
to create pipes of the default size (64kB), thus reaching a limit of 64MB
before starting to create only smaller pipes. With 256 processes limited
to 1024 FDs each, this results in 1024*64kB + (256*1024 - 1024) * 4kB =
1084 MB of memory allocated for a user. The hard limit is disabled by
default to avoid breaking existing applications that make intensive use
of pipes (eg: for splicing).

commit 4b50bcc7eda4d3cc9e3f2a0aa60e590fedf728c5 upstream.
Since commit 92923ca3aace ("mm: meminit: only set page reserved in the
memblock region") the reserved bit is set on reserved memblock regions.
However start and end address are passed as unsigned long. This is only
32bit on i386, so it can end up marking the wrong pages reserved for
ranges at 4GB and above.
This was observed on a 32bit Xen dom0 which was booted with initial
memory set to a value below 4G but allowing to balloon in memory
(dom0_mem=1024M for example). This would define a reserved bootmem
region for the additional memory (for example on a 8GB system there was
a reverved region covering the 4GB-8GB range). But since the addresses
were passed on as unsigned long, this was actually marking all pages
from 0 to 4GB as reserved.
