The immediate use case for this is that it will allow us to ensure that a
pppoatm queue is woken after it has to drop a packet due to the sock being
locked.
Note that 'release_cb' is called when the socket is *unlocked*. This is
not to be confused with vcc_release() — which probably ought to be called
vcc_close().

The atm is using atmvcc->push(vcc, NULL) callback to notify protocol
that vcc will be closed and protocol must detach from it. This callback
is usually used by protocol to decrement module usage count by module_put(),
but it leaves small window then module is still used after module_put().
Now the owner of push() callback is kept in atmvcc and
module_put(atmvcc->owner) is called after the protocol is detached from vcc.

commit 68835aba4d9b (net: optimize INET input path further)
moved some fields used for tcp/udp sockets lookup in the first cache
line of struct sock_common.
This patch moves inet_dport/inet_num as well, filling a 32bit hole
on 64 bit arches and reducing number of cache line misses in lookups.
Also change INET_MATCH()/INET_TW_MATCH() to perform the ports match
before addresses match, as this check is more discriminant.
Remove the hash check from MATCH() macros because we dont need to
re validate the hash value after taking a refcount on socket, and
use likely/unlikely compiler hints, as the sk_hash/hash check
makes the following conditional tests 100% predicted by cpu.
Introduce skc_addrpair/skc_portpair pair values to better
document the alignment requirements of the port/addr pairs
used in the various MATCH() macros, and remove some casts.
The namespace check can also be done at last.
This slightly improves TCP/UDP lookup times.
IP/TCP early demux needs inet->rx_dst_ifindex and
TCP needs inet->min_ttl, lets group them together in same cache line.
With help from Ben Hutchings & Joe Perches.
Idea of this patch came after Ling Ma proposal to move skc_hash
to the beginning of struct sock_common, and should allow him
to submit a final version of his patch. My tests show an improvement
doing so.

The movement of ipv6_find_hdr() into exthdrs_core.c causes two small merge
conflicts. I left it as is but can do the merge if you want. The conflicts
are:
* ipv6_find_hdr() and ipv6_find_tlv() were both moved to the bottom of
exthdrs_core.c. Both should stay.
* A new use of ipv6_find_hdr() was added to net/netfilter/ipvs/ip_vs_core.c
after this patch. The IPVS user has two instances of the old constant
name IP6T_FH_F_FRAG which has been renamed to IP6_FH_F_FRAG.

This patch changes three methods to be static and removes their
EXPORT_SYMBOLs in core/dev.c and their external declaration in
netdevice.h. The methods, dev_gro_receive(), napi_frags_finish() and
napi_skb_finish(), which are in the GRO rx path, are not used
outside core/dev.c.

The sysrq+m indicates the system has no swap so it'll never reclaim
anonymous pages as part of reclaim/compaction. That is one part of the
problem but not the root cause as file-backed pages could also be
reclaimed.
The likely underlying problem is that kswapd is woken up or kept awake
for each THP allocation request in the page allocator slow path.
If compaction fails for the requesting process then compaction will be
deferred for a time and direct reclaim is avoided. However, if there
are a storm of THP requests that are simply rejected, it will still be
the the case that kswapd is awake for a prolonged period of time as
pgdat->kswapd_max_order is updated each time. This is noticed by the
main kswapd() loop and it will not call kswapd_try_to_sleep(). Instead
it will loopp, shrinking a small number of pages and calling
shrink_slab() on each iteration.
The temptation is to supply a patch that checks if kswapd was woken for
THP and if so ignore pgdat->kswapd_max_order but it'll be a hack and not
backed up by proper testing. As 3.7 is very close to release and this
is not a bug we should release with, a safer path is to revert "mm:
remove __GFP_NO_KSWAPD" for now and revisit it with the view to ironing
out the balance_pgdat() logic in general.

Instead of having the getsockopt() of SO_BINDTODEVICE return an index, which
will then require another call like if_indextoname() to get the actual interface
name, have it return the name directly.
This also matches the existing man page description on socket(7) which mentions
the argument being an interface name.
If the value has not been set, zero is returned and optlen will be set to zero
to indicate there is no interface name present.
Added a seqlock to protect this code path, and dev_ifname(), from someone
changing the device name via dev_change_name().

GMAC devices newer than databook 3.40 has an embedded timer
that can be used for mitigating the number of interrupts.
So this patch adds this optimizations.
At any rate, the Rx watchdog can be disable (on bugged HW) by
passing from the platform the riwt_off field.
In this implementation the rx timer stored in the Reg9 is fixed
to the max value. This will be tuned by using ethtool.
V2: added a platform parameter to force to disable the rx-watchdog
for example on new core where it is bugged.
V3: do not disable NAPI when Rx watchdog is used.
V4: a new extra statistic field has been added to show the early
receive status in the interrupt handler.
This patch also adds an extra check to avoid to call
napi_schedule when the DMA_INTR_ENA_RIE bit is disabled in the
Interrupt Mask register.

This bug-fix makes sure that of_iomap is defined extern for sparc so that the
sparc-specific implementation of_iomap is once again used when including
include/linux/of_address.h in a sparc context. OF_GPIO that is now available for
sparc relies on this.
The bug was inadvertently introduced in a850a75, "of/address: add empty static
inlines for !CONFIG_OF", that added a static dummy inline for of_iomap when
!CONFIG_OF_ADDRESS. However, CONFIG_OF_ADDRESS is never defined for sparc, but
there is a sparc-specific implementation /arch/sparc/kernel/of_device_common.c.
This fix takes the same approach as 0bce04b that solved the equivalent problem
for of_address_to_resource.

- Current is implicitly avaiable so passing current->nsproxy isn't useful.
- The ctl_table_header is needed to find how the sysctl table is connected
to the rest of sysctl.
- ctl_table_root is avaiable in the ctl_table_header so no need to it.
With these changes it becomes possible to write a version of
net_sysctl_permission that takes into account the network namespace of
the sysctl table, an important feature in extending the user namespace.

Revert commit 7f1290f2f2a4 ("mm: fix-up zone present pages")
That patch tried to fix a issue when calculating zone->present_pages,
but it caused a regression on 32bit systems with HIGHMEM. With that
change, reset_zone_present_pages() resets all zone->present_pages to
zero, and fixup_zone_present_pages() is called to recalculate
zone->present_pages when the boot allocator frees core memory pages into
buddy allocator. Because highmem pages are not freed by bootmem
allocator, all highmem zones' present_pages becomes zero.
Various options for improving the situation are being discussed but for
now, let's return to the 3.6 code.

When MEMCG is configured on (even when it's disabled by boot option),
when adding or removing a page to/from its lru list, the zone pointer
used for stats updates is nowadays taken from the struct lruvec. (On
many configurations, calculating zone from page is slower.)
But we have no code to update all the lruvecs (per zone, per memcg) when
a memory node is hotadded. Here's an extract from the oops which
results when running numactl to bind a program to a newly onlined node:

The natural solution might be to use a memcg callback whenever memory is
hotadded; but that solution has not been scoped out, and it happens that
we do have an easy location at which to update lruvec->zone. The lruvec
pointer is discovered either by mem_cgroup_zone_lruvec() or by
mem_cgroup_page_lruvec(), and both of those do know the right zone.
So check and set lruvec->zone in those; and remove the inadequate
attempt to set lruvec->zone from lruvec_init(), which is called before
NODE_DATA(node) has been allocated in such cases.
Ah, there was one exceptionr. For no particularly good reason,
mem_cgroup_force_empty_list() has its own code for deciding lruvec.
Change it to use the standard mem_cgroup_zone_lruvec() and
mem_cgroup_get_lru_size() too. In fact it was already safe against such
an oops (the lru lists in danger could only be empty), but we're better
proofed against future changes this way.
I've marked this for stable (3.6) since we introduced the problem in 3.5
(now closed to stable); but I have no idea if this is the only fix
needed to get memory hotadd working with memcg in 3.6, and received no
answer when I enquired twice before.

ocp2scp was not having pdata support which makes *musb* fail for non-dt
boot in OMAP platform. The pdata will have information about the devices
that is connected to ocp2scp. ocp2scp driver will now make use of this
information to create the devices that is attached to ocp2scp.
This is needed to fix MUSB regression caused by commit c9e4412a
(arm: omap: phy: remove unused functions from omap-phy-internal.c)

10) CXGB4 passes partially uninitialized datastructures in to FW

11) When we send unsolicited ipv6 neighbour advertisements, we should
send them to the link-local allnodes multicast address, as per

12) There is some kind of bug in the usbnet's kevent deferral
mechanism, but more immediately when it triggers an uncontrolled
stream of kernel messages spam the log. Rate limit the error log
message triggered when this problem occurs, as sending thousands
of error messages into the kernel log doesn't help matters at all,
and in fact makes further diagnosis more difficult.

This bug-fix makes sure that of_address_to_resource is defined extern for sparc
so that the sparc-specific implementation of of_address_to_resource() is once
again used when including include/linux/of_address.h in a sparc context. A
number of drivers in mainline relies on this function working for sparc.
The bug was introduced in a850a7554442f08d3e910c6eeb4ee216868dda1e, "of/address:
add empty static inlines for !CONFIG_OF". Contrary to that commit title, the
static inlines are added for !CONFIG_OF_ADDRESS, and CONFIG_OF_ADDRESS is never
defined for sparc. This is good behavior for the other functions in
include/linux/of_address.h, as the extern functions defined in
drivers/of/address.c only gets linked when OF_ADDRESS is configured. However,
for of_address_to_resource there exists a sparc-specific implementation in
arch/sparc/arch/sparc/kernel/of_device_common.c

The of_device_id match data is now marked as const and
must not be modified. This changes the dw_mmc to mark
all pointers passing the dw_mci_drv_data or dw_mci_dma_ops
structures as const, and also marks the static definitions
as const.

CMD23 causes lots of errors in kernel on some freescale SoCs
(P1020, P1021, P1022, P1024, P1025 and P4080) when MMC card used,
which is because these controllers does not support CMD23,
even on the SoCs which declares CMD23 is supported.
Therefore, we'll not use CMD23.

Even though platform_get_irq returns error, 'host->irq'
always has an unsigned value. Less-than-zero comparison
of an unsigned value is never true. Type of 'unsigned int'
will be changed for 'int'.
