Pull device mapper changes from Mike Snitzer:
- Fix dm-cache corruption caused by discard_block_size > cache_block_size
- Fix a lock-inversion detected by LOCKDEP in dm-cache
- Fix a dangling bio bug in the dm-thinp target's process_deferred_bios
error path
- Fix corruption due to non-atomic transaction commit which allowed a
metadata superblock to be written before all other metadata was
successfully written -- this is common to all targets that use the
persistent-data library's transaction manager (dm-thinp, dm-cache and
dm-era).
- Various small cleanups in the DM core
- Add the dm-era target which is useful for keeping track of which
blocks were written within a user defined period of time called an
'era'. Use cases include tracking changed blocks for backup
software, and partially invalidating the contents of a cache to
restore cache coherency after rolling back a vendor snapshot.
- Improve the on-disk layout of multithreaded writes to the
dm-thin-pool by splitting the pool's deferred bio list to be a
per-thin device list and then sorting that list using an rb_tree.
The subsequent read throughput of the data written via multiple
threads improved by ~70%.
- Simplify the multipath target's handling of queuing IO by pushing
requests back to the request queue rather than queueing the IO
internally.

Introduce dm_table_run_md_queue_async() to run the request_queue of the
mapped_device associated with a request-based DM table.
Also add dm_md_get_queue() wrapper to extract the request_queue from a
mapped_device.

Remove dm_get_mapinfo() because no target uses it. Targets can allocate
per-bio data using ti->per_bio_data_size, this is much more flexible
than union map_info.
Leave union map_info only for the request-based multipath target's use.
Also delete the unused "unsigned long long ll" field of union map_info.

It's not only for PCI devices any more, and the scope information for an
ACPI device provides the bus and devfn so that has to be stored here too.
It is the device pointer itself which needs to be protected with RCU,
so the __rcu annotation follows it into the definition of struct
dmar_dev_scope, since we're no longer just passing arrays of device
pointers around.

If static identity domain is created, IOMMU driver needs to update
si_domain page table when memory hotplug event happens. Otherwise
PCI device DMA operations can't access the hot-added memory regions.

Now we have a PCI bus notification based mechanism to update DMAR
device scope array, we could extend the mechanism to support boot
time initialization too, which will help to unify and simplify
the implementation.

Current Intel DMAR/IOMMU driver assumes that all PCI devices associated
with DMAR/RMRR/ATSR device scope arrays are created at boot time and
won't change at runtime, so it caches pointers of associated PCI device
object. That assumption may be wrong now due to:
1) introduction of PCI host bridge hotplug
2) PCI device hotplug through sysfs interfaces.
Wang Yijing has tried to solve this issue by caching <bus, dev, func>
tupple instead of the PCI device object pointer, but that's still
unreliable because PCI bus number may change in case of hotplug.

Global DMA and interrupt remapping resources may be accessed in

Introduce a global rwsem dmar_global_lock, which will be used to
protect DMAR related global data structures from DMAR/PCI/memory
device hotplug operations in process context.
DMA and interrupt remapping related data structures are read most,
and only change when memory/PCI/DMAR hotplug event happens.
So a global rwsem solution is adopted for balance between simplicity
and performance.
For interrupt remapping driver, function intel_irq_remapping_supported(),
dmar_table_init(), intel_enable_irq_remapping(), disable_irq_remapping(),
reenable_irq_remapping() and enable_drhd_fault_handling() etc
are called during booting, suspending and resuming with interrupt
disabled, so no need to take the global lock.
For interrupt remapping entry allocation, the locking model is:

Before we had the PWM framework we used to have a barebone PWM api. The
HAVE_PWM Kconfig symbol used to be selected by the PWM drivers to specify
the PWM API is present in the kernel. Since the last legacy driver is gone
the HAVE_PWM symbol can go aswell.

Current Samsung PM code is heavily unprepared for multiplatform
systems. The design implies accessing functions and global
variables defined in particular mach- subdirectory from common
code in plat-, which is not allowed when building ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM.
In addition there is a lot of forced code unification, which makes
common function handle any possible quirks of all supported SoCs.
In the end this design turned out to not work too well, ending with
a lot of empty functions exported from mach-, just because code in
common pm.c calls them. Moreover, recent trend of moving lower level
suspend/resume code to proper drivers, like pinctrl or clk, made a
lot of code there redundant, especially on DT-only platforms like
Exynos.
Note that this branch is based on previous tags/samsung-pm-1 and merge
tags/samsung-cleanup-2 because of fix build error from recent changes
of <linux/serial_s3c.h>

serial_s3c.h uses upf_t which is defined in serial_core.h but does not
include that itself meaning that users which include serial_s3c.h by

The clkc has its registers in the range of the slcr.
Instead of passing around the slcr base address pointer, let the clkc get the
address from the DT.
This prepares the slcr to be a real driver with multiple memory ranges
(slcr, clocks, pinctrl,...)

This patch adds device_reset_optional and (devm_)reset_control_get_optional
variants that drivers can use to indicate they can function without control
over the reset line. For those functions, stubs are added so the drivers can
be compiled with CONFIG_RESET_CONTROLLER disabled.
Also, device_reset is annotated with __must_check. Drivers ignoring the return
value should use device_reset_optional instead.

In some cases, you might need to deassert from reset an hardware block that
doesn't associated to a struct device (CPUs, timers, etc.).
Add a small helper to retrieve the reset controller from the device tree
without the need to pass a struct device.

Some socs have a large number of interrupts requests to service
the needs of its many peripherals and subsystems. All of the
interrupt lines from the subsystems are not needed at the same
time, so they have to be muxed to the irq-controller appropriately.
In such places a interrupt controllers are preceded by an CROSSBAR
that provides flexibility in muxing the device requests to the controller
inputs.
This driver takes care a allocating a free irq and then configuring the
crossbar IP as a part of the mpu's irqchip callbacks. crossbar_init should
be called right before the irqchip_init, so that it is setup to handle the
irqchip callbacks.

In some socs the gic can be preceded by a crossbar IP which
routes the peripheral interrupts to the gic inputs. The peripheral
interrupts are associated with a fixed crossbar input line and the
crossbar routes that to one of the free gic input line.
The DT entries for peripherals provides the fixed crossbar input line
as its interrupt number and the mapping code should associate this with
a free gic input line. This patch adds the support inside the gic irqchip
to handle such routable irqs. The routable irqs are registered in a linear
domain. The registered routable domain's callback should be implemented
to get a free irq and to configure the IP to route it.

The problem that the set timings code contains the call of Davinci
platform function davinci_aemif_setup_timing() which is not
accessible if kernel is built for another platform like Keystone.
The Keysone platform is going to use TI AEMIF driver.
If TI AEMIF is used we don't need to set timings and bus width.
It is done by AEMIF driver.
To get rid of davinci-nand driver dependency on aemif platform code
we moved aemif code to davinci platform.
The platform AEMIF code (aemif.c) has to be removed once Davinci
will be converted to DT and use ti-aemif.c driver.

This adds support for a VIC to be cascaded off another IRQ.
On the Integrator/AP logical module IM-PD1 there is a VIC
cascaded off the central FPGA IRQ controller so this is
needed for that to work out.
In order for the plug-in board to be able to register all
the devices with their IRQs relative to the offset of the
base obtained for the cascaded VIC, the base IRQ number
is passed back to the caller.

This atomic commit changes the Integrator clock implementation
and the machines to register clocks from the device tree and
use these instead of the previous hard-coded clocks.
In the clock implementation all hard-coded clocks and the
special initialization function call goes away, and is
replaced by two compatible strings for the two clocks
available on the core module.

On r-/sh-mobile SoCs MSTP clocks are used by the runtime PM to dynamically
enable and disable peripheral clocks. To make sure the clock has really
started we have to read back its status register until it confirms success.

"A large part of the arm-soc patches are nowadays DT changes, adding
support for new SoCs, boards and devices without changing kernel
source. The plan is still to move the devicetree files out of the
kernel tree and reduce the amount of churn going on here, but we keep
finding reasons to delay doing that.
Changes are really all over the place, with little sticking out
particularly. We have contributions from a total of 116 people in
this branch.
Unfortunately, the size of this branch also causes a significant
number of conflicts at the moment, typically when subsystem
maintainers merge patches that change the driver at the same time as
the dts files. In most cases this could be avoided because the dts
changes are supposed to be compatible in both ways, and we are asking
everyone to send ARM dts changes through our tree only"

This cleanup series gets rid of <mach/timex.h> for platforms not using
ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM. (For multi-platform code it's already unused since
387798b (ARM: initial multiplatform support).)
To make this work some code out of arch/arm needed to be adapted. The
respective changes got acks by their maintainers to be taken via armsoc
(with Andrew Morton substituting for Alessandro Zummo as rtc maintainer).
Compared to the previous pull request there was another patch added that
fixes a (non-critical) regression on ixp4xx. Olof Johansson asked to not
squash this fix into the original commit to save him from the need to
reverify the series.

A set of device tree-related cleanups for the ux500 platform from Linus
Walleij:
- Rename SSP/SPI clocks to the name found in the hardware
reference manual. (Also includes a rename in the U300
device tree file.)
- Delete dead non-DT code.
- Drop now completely unused GPIO definition header file.
- Delete all hardcoded IRQ number assignments. This hits
MFD a bit so the patch has been ACKed by Lee Jones from
the MFD side.

The DBx500 and ABx500 should be getting their IRQs from the
device tree and nowhere else. Get rid of all the static assignments
everywhere, delete it from the driver, platform data and the
board files in one swift strike.
Lots of cross-dependencies in the MFD drivers for PRCMU and
AB8500 makes it necessary to strike everywhere at once to
eradicate IRQs passed as resources and platform data to the left
and right around the platform.

Pull ARM SoC cleanups from Arnd Bergmann:
"These cleanup patches are mainly move stuff around and should all be
harmless. They are mainly split out so that other branches can be
based on top to avoid conflicts.
Notable changes are:
- We finally remove all mach/timex.h, after CLOCK_TICK_RATE is no
