Ensure that we do return errors from nfs4_proc_layoutget() and that we
don't mark the layout as having failed if the error was due to a
signal or resource problem on the client side.

It is only set after everyone has dereferenced the transport,
and serves no useful purpose: setting it is racy, so all the
socket code, etc still needs to be able to cope with the cases
where they miss reading it.

If the server reboots before it can commit the unstable writes to disk,
then nfs_commit_release_pages() will detect this when it compares the
verifier returned by COMMIT to the one returned by WRITE. When this
happens, the client needs to resend those writes in order to guarantee
that they make it to stable storage.
This patch adds a signalling mechanism to notify fsync() that it
needs to retry all writes before it can exit.

We want to be able to pass on the information that the page was not
dirtied under a lock. Instead of adding a flag parameter, do this
by passing a pointer to a 'struct nfs_lock_owner' that may be NULL.
Also reuse this structure in struct nfs_lock_context to carry the
fl_owner_t and pid_t.

"All legacy PWM providers have now been moved to the PWM subsystem.
The plan for 3.8 is to adapt all board files to provide a lookup table
for PWM devices in order to get rid of the global namespace.
Subsequently, users of the legacy pwm_request() and pwm_free()
functions can be migrated to the new pwm_get() and pwm_put()
functions. Once this has been completed, the legacy API and the
compatibility code in the core can be removed.
In addition to the above, these changes also add support for
configuring the polarity of a PWM signal (currently only supported on
ECAP and EHRPWM) and include a much needed rework of the i.MX driver.
Managed functions to obtain and release a PWM device (devm_pwm_get()
and devm_pwm_put()) have been added and the pwm-backlight driver has
been updated to use them. If the PWM subsystem hasn't been enabled,
dummy functions are provided that allow the subsystem to safely
compile out.
Some common checks on input parameters have been moved to the core and
removed from the drivers. Finally, a small fix corrects the
description of the PWM specifier's second cell in the device tree
representation."

Some hardware supports inverting the polarity of the PWM signal. This
commit adds support to the PWM framework to allow users of the PWM API
to configure the polarity. Note that in order to reduce complexity,
changing the polarity of a PWM signal is only allowed while the PWM is
disabled.
A practical example where this can prove useful is to simulate inversion
of the duty cycle. While inversion of polarity and duty cycle are not
exactly the same, the differences for most use-cases are negligible.

__ARCH_WANT_KERNEL_EXECVE and use it, provided that
* they have working current_pt_regs(), even for kernel threads.
* kernel_thread-spawned threads do have space for pt_regs
in the normal location. Normally that's as simple as switching to
generic kernel_thread() and making sure that kernel threads do *not*
go through return from syscall path; call the payload from equivalent
of ret_from_fork if we are in a kernel thread (or just have separate
ret_from_kernel_thread and make copy_thread() use it instead of
ret_from_fork in kernel thread case).
* they have ret_from_kernel_execve(); it is called after
successful do_execve() done by kernel_execve() and gets normal
pt_regs location passed to it as argument. It's essentially
a longjmp() analog - it should set sp, etc. to the situation
expected at the return for syscall and go there. Eventually
the need for that sucker will disappear, but that'll take some
surgery on kernel_thread() payloads.

Normally (and that's the default) it's just task_pt_regs(current).
However, if an architecture can optimize that, it can do so by
making a macro of its own available from asm/ptrace.h. More
importantly, some architectures have task_pt_regs() working only
for traced tasks blocked on signal delivery. current_pt_regs()
needs to work for *all* processes, so before those architectures
start using stuff relying on current_pt_regs() they'll need a
properly working variant.

It seems IPV6_GRO_CB(skb)->proto can be destroyed in skb_gro_receive()
if a new skb is allocated (to serve as an anchor for frag_list)
We copy NAPI_GRO_CB() only (not the IPV6 specific part) in :
*NAPI_GRO_CB(nskb) = *NAPI_GRO_CB(p);
So we leave IPV6_GRO_CB(nskb)->proto to 0 (fresh skb allocation) instead
of IPPROTO_TCP (6)
ipv6_gro_complete() isnt able to call ops->gro_complete()

Fix this by moving proto in NAPI_GRO_CB() and getting rid of
IPV6_GRO_CB

6a32e4f9dd9219261f8856f817e6655114cfec2f made the vlan code skip marking
vlan-tagged frames for not locally configured vlans as PACKET_OTHERHOST if
there was an rx_handler, as the rx_handler could cause the frame to be received
on a different (virtual) vlan-capable interface where that vlan might be
configured.
As rx_handlers do not necessarily return RX_HANDLER_ANOTHER, this could cause
frames for unknown vlans to be delivered to the protocol stack as if they had
been received untagged.
For example, if an ipv6 router advertisement that's tagged for a locally not
configured vlan is received on an interface with macvlan interfaces attached,
macvlan's rx_handler returns RX_HANDLER_PASS after delivering the frame to the
macvlan interfaces, which caused it to be passed to the protocol stack, leading
to ipv6 addresses for the announced prefix being configured even though those
are completely unusable on the underlying interface.
The fix moves marking as PACKET_OTHERHOST after the rx_handler so the
rx_handler, if there is one, sees the frame unchanged, but afterwards,
before the frame is delivered to the protocol stack, it gets marked whether
there is an rx_handler or not.

Current GRO can hold packets in gro_list for almost unlimited
time, in case napi->poll() handler consumes its budget over and over.
In this case, napi_complete()/napi_gro_flush() are not called.
Another problem is that gro_list is flushed in non friendly way :
We scan the list and complete packets in the reverse order.
(youngest packets first, oldest packets last)
This defeats priorities that sender could have cooked.
Since GRO currently only store TCP packets, we dont really notice the
bug because of retransmits, but this behavior can add unexpected
latencies, particularly on mice flows clamped by elephant flows.
This patch makes sure no packet can stay more than 1 ms in queue, and
only in stress situations.
It also complete packets in the right order to minimize latencies.

Before accessing skb first fragment, better make sure there
is one.
This is probably not needed for old kernels, since an ethernet frame
cannot contain only an ethernet header, but the recent GRO addition
to tunnels makes this patch needed.
Also skb_gro_reset_offset() can be static, it actually allows
compiler to inline it.

Over time, skb recycling infrastructure got litle interest and
many bugs. Generic rx path skb allocation is now using page
fragments for efficient GRO / TCP coalescing, and recyling
a tx skb for rx path is not worth the pain.
Last identified bug is that fat skbs can be recycled
and it can endup using high order pages after few iterations.
With help from Maxime Bizon, who pointed out that commit
87151b8689d (net: allow pskb_expand_head() to get maximum tailroom)
introduced this regression for recycled skbs.
Instead of fixing this bug, lets remove skb recycling.
Drivers wanting really hot skbs should use build_skb() anyway,
to allocate/populate sk_buff right before netif_receive_skb()

I get a panic when I use ss -a and rmmod inet_diag at the
same time.
It's because netlink_dump uses inet_diag_dump which belongs to module
inet_diag.
I search the codes and find many modules have the same problem. We
need to add a reference to the module which the cb->dump belongs to.

merging the auto merge on linux-next picks wrong choice for pl330

back merge your tree this time as you are better than me so no point
in doing that for me :)"
Fixed the pl330 conflict as in linux-next, along with trivial header

Not all of the controllers support the 64 bit data width. Make it configurable
via platform data. The driver will try to get a value from the component
parameters, otherwise it will use the platform data.

The maximum block size is a configurable parameter for the chip. So, driver
will try to get it from the encoded component parameters. Otherwise it will
come from the platform data.

Virtual channel is managed by dmaengine
Physical channel handling resource, such as irq
Physical channel is alloced dynamically as descending priority,
freed immediately when irq done.
The availble highest priority physically channel will alwayes be alloced

2. list: running list & pending list
submit: desc list -> pending list
issue_pending_list: if (IDLE) pending list -> running list; free pending list (RUN)

check pendlist -> pending list -> running list; free pending list (RUN)
3. irq:
Each list generate one irq, calling callback
One list may contain several desc chain, in such case, make sure only the last desc list generate irq.
4. async
Submit will add desc chain to pending list, which can be multi-called
If multi desc chain is submitted, only the last desc would generate irq -> call back
If IDLE, issue_pending_list start pending_list, transforming pendlist to running list
If RUN, irq will start pending list

Add a DMA engine driver for the TI EDMA controller. This driver
is implemented as a wrapper around the existing DaVinci private
DMA implementation. This approach allows for incremental conversion
of each peripheral driver to the DMA engine API. The EDMA driver
supports slave transfers but does not yet support cyclic transfers.

This patch fixes up the broken suspend sequence for eMMC with sleep
support. Additionally it reworks the eMMC4.5 Power Off Notification
feature so it fits together with the existing sleep feature.
The CMD0 based re-initialization of the eMMC at resume is re-introduced
to maintain compatiblity for devices using sleep.
A host shall use MMC_CAP2_POWEROFF_NOTIFY to enable the Power Off
Notification feature. We might be able to remove this cap later on,
if we think that Power Off Notification always is preferred over
sleep, even if the host is not able to cut the eMMC VCCQ power.

Samsung Exynos SoC's extend the dw-mshc controller for additional clock
and bus control. Add support for these extensions and include provide
device tree based discovery suppory as well.

The core dw-mshc controller driver can let platform specific
implementations of the dw-mshc controller to control the hardware
as required by such implementations. This is acheived by invoking
implementation specific (optional) callbacks. Define the list of
callbacks supported the add invocation points for the same.

If the write protect pad of the controller is not connected to the write
protect pin of the slot, the driver should be notified of this condition
so that incorrect check for write protection by reading the WRTORT
register can avoided. The get_ro platform callback can be used for in
such cases, but with device tree support enabled, such platform callbacks
cannot be supported.
Add a new quirk for notifying the driver about the missing write protect
line so the driver can assume that the card write protection is disabled.
