In case of error on lost arbitration, the host should at least attempt
to retry in case if the bus error is transient (i.e., from signal
interference or misbehaved devices). Use the default 2s timeout setting.

HW recovery mechanism may not function as expected when HW samples
data line and finds it low during particular clocking period of the
recovery. Use SW bit-banging instead where SW generates clocks and
sniffs data line until data line is released by the slave.

Move error logs from interrupt context to process context to
avoid blocking other interrupts and reduce latencies in
ISR handling.
Also keep error check for BAM rx completion.

Use dedicated rx completion object for DMA transfer mode.
Currently a single completion object is being used for tx, BAM
driver can signal for tx complete while there can be rx process
in active stage. Resulting in BAM_ERROR_IRQ for the pipe connect
as part of the next BAM transfer. Use rx completion callback to
wait for BAM to complete rx transfer.

Since commit 4baadb9e05c68962 ("ARM: shmobile: r8a7778: remove obsolete
setup code"), Renesas R-Car SoCs are only supported in generic DT-only
ARM multi-platform builds. The driver doesn't need to use platform data
anymore, hence remove platform data configuration.

The hardcoded 0x83 CTRL setting overrides other settings in that byte,
enabling extra reporting that may not be useful on a particular platform.
Implement improved suspend mechanism via deep sleep. By writing zero to
both the active and idle cycle times the maXTouch device can be put into a
deep sleep mode, using minimal power. It is necessary to issue a calibrate
command after the chip has spent any time in deep sleep, however a soft
reset is unnecessary.
Use the old method on Chromebook Pixel via platform data option.
This patch also deals with the situation where the power configuration is
zero on probe, which would mean that the device never wakes up to execute
commands.
After a config download, the T7 power configuration may have changed so it
is necessary to re-read it.

I noticed the PMIC configuration on 37xx-evm won't actually shut down
the voltages during off-idle. Turns out 37xx-evm needs the AC charger
state transitions disabled like we are doing for SDP and LDP in the
legacy booting case.
Let's fix this for device tree based booting by setting up the quirk
flag based on the compatible flag. And let's also use the existing
define for STARTON_CHG.
Note that SDP and EVM do not have the PMIC clken wired to gate the
the oscillator while LDP has.

struct phy_consumer but twl-common.c still uses the "phy_consumer"
structure resulting in the following compilation warning.

Add support for simple on/off control of each channel.
To add regulator support, the pmbus part driver needs to add
regulator_desc information and number of regulators to its
pmbus_driver_info struct.
regulator_desc can be declared using default macro for a
regulator (PMBUS_REGULATOR) that is in pmbus.h
The regulator_init_data can be initialized from either
platform data or the device tree.

The existing implementation which encodes the configuration as a binary
blob in platform data is unsatisfactory since it requires a kernel
recompile for the configuration to be changed, and it doesn't deal well
with firmware changes that move values around on the chip.
Atmel define an ASCII format for the configuration which can be exported
from their tools. This patch implements a parser for that format which
loads the configuration via the firmware loader and sends it to the MXT
chip.

It turned out that the s6000 simply has a designware IP core and should
use the designated driver for it which is way more maintained and
feature complete. There are currently no users in tree, and not even a
toolchain for s6000 seems to be available. So, simply remove this
duplicate. If someone needs assistance in converting to the designware
driver, the i2c list will be there to help.

With the recommended twl4030 configuration added, we can now add
board specific changes as modifications to the recommended
configuration.
Note that the data is private to this driver, and the data must
always have a NULL resource in the sentinel.

The twl4030 PMIC needs to be configured properly for things like
warm reset and deeper idle states so the PMIC manages the regulators
properly based on the hardware triggers from the SoC. Earlier
we have configured twl4030 using platform data, but we want to
do it for device tree based booting also.
In some cases configuring twl4030 is needed for things to work.
For example, when rebooting an OMAP3530 at 125 MHz, it hangs.
With this patch, TWL4030 will be reset when a warm reset occures,
and OMAP3530 does not hang on reboot.
Let's add device tree support and configure things for warm reset
as the default when compatible = "ti,twl4030-power". More
complicated configurations can be added to the driver based on
other compatible flags.
Note we now also make the pdata const like it should be.
This allows use it for match->data with the device tree
related functions.

By reading the touchscreen configuration from the settings that the
maXTouch chip is actually using, we can remove some platform data.
The matrix size is not used for anything, and results in some rather
confusing code to re-read it because it may change when configuration
is downloaded, so don't print it out.

The configuration is stored in NVRAM on the maXTouch chip. When the device
is reset it reports a CRC of the stored configuration values. Therefore it
isn't necessary to send the configuration on each probe - we can check the
CRC matches and avoid a timeconsuming backup/reset cycle.

* The mapping of the GPIO numbers into the T19 status byte varies between
different maXTouch chips. Some have up to 7 GPIOs. Allowing a keycode array
of up to 8 items is simpler and more generic. So replace #define with
configurable number of keys which also allows the removal of is_tp.
* Rename platform data parameters to include "t19" to prevent confusion with
T15 key array.
* Probe aborts early on when pdata is NULL, so no need to check.
* Move "int i" to beginning of function (mixed declarations and code)
* Use API calls rather than __set_bit()
* Remove unused dev variable.

It is not necessary to download these values to the maXTouch chip on every
probe, since they are stored in NVRAM. It makes life difficult when tuning
the device to keep them in sync with the config array/file, and requires a
new kernel build for minor tweaks.
These parameters only represent a tiny subset of the available
configuration options, tracking all of these options in platform data would
be a endless task. In addition, different versions of maXTouch chips may
have these values in different places or may not even have them at all.
Having these values also makes life more complex for device tree and other
platforms where having to define a static configuration isn't helpful.

If the regcache is enabled on the regmap module drivers might need to access
to HW register(s) in certain cases in cache bypass mode.
As an example of this is the audio block's ANAMICL register. In normal
operation the content can be cached but during initialization one bit from
the register need to be monitored. With the twl_set_regcache_bypass() the
client driver can switch regcache bypass on and off when it is needed so
we can utilize the regcache for more registers.

Used the generic PHY framework API to create the PHY. For powering on
and powering off the PHY, power_on and power_off ops are used. Once the
MUSB OMAP glue is adapted to the new framework, the suspend and resume
ops of usb phy library will be removed. Also twl4030-usb driver is moved
to drivers/phy/.
However using the old usb phy library cannot be completely removed
because otg is intertwined with phy and moving to the new
framework completely will break otg. Once we have a separate otg state machine,
we can get rid of the usb phy library.

To enter high speed mode, following steps should be done:
1. When running in high speed mode, i2c clock rate is different
from standard mode. Clock rate must be set according to
specification first.
2. When i2c controller sends a master code and wins arbitration,
high speed mode is entered.
If you want to enable high speed mode, the following members of
platform data should be set to proper value:
1. "high_mode" should be set to "1".
2. "master_code" should be set to "8'b 0000_1xxx"(x is 0 or 1).
If no master_code is set, set to default value 0xe.
3. "rate" should be set according to specification.

The TWL6025 was never released beyond sample form and was replaced by
the PhoenixLite range of chips - TWL6032. Change the references to
reference the TWL6032 class and name the registers to twl6032 in line with
an actual released chip name to avoid confusion.
Currently there are no users of TWL6025 in the code.

For now, the call to twl4030-power is hard-wired inside twl-core.
To ease the future transition to DT, make twl4030-power as a
separate module, like what is already done for twl4030-audio
and others.

Driver twl4030-madc has hardcoded channel types (10 - battery current,
1 - battery temperature) and also conversation data in variable
twl4030_divider_ratios. These hardcoded channels are incorrect for
Nokia RX-51 board (where is channel 0 - battery temperature).
For Nokia RX-51 there is rx51_battery power_supply driver which reporting
battery information via twl4030_madc_conversion. But this driver needs
raw values (not converted via some hardcoded functions). So this patch
adding new parameter "raw" to struct twl4030_madc_request which tell
twl4030-madc driver to not convert values, but rather return raw.

This same driver can be used by atmel based touchscreens and touchpads
(buttonpads). Platform data may specify a device is a touchpad
using the is_tp flag.
This will cause the driver to perform some touchpad specific
initializations, such as:
* register input device name "Atmel maXTouch Touchpad" instead of
Touchscreen.
* register BTN_LEFT & BTN_TOOL_* event types.
* register axis resolution (as a fixed constant, for now)
* register BUTTONPAD property
* process GPIO buttons using reportid T19
Input event GPIO mapping is done by the platform data key_map array.
key_map[x] should contain the KEY or BTN code to send when processing
GPIOx from T19. To specify a GPIO as not an input source, populate
with KEY_RESERVED, or 0.

twl_module_ids for common functionality among twl4030/twl6030
twl4030_module_ids for twl4030 specific ids
twl6030_module_ids for twl6030 specific ids
In this way the list can be managed easier when new functionality going to
be implemented.

Store the i2c_client struct in the vendor private pointer. Get rid of
the unnecessary include/linux/i2c/ header. Moved include files into the
driver c file. Fix smatch warnings. Make use of module_i2c_driver().
Removed unused code from the tpm_stm_st33_i2c.h file. Fix return
variable signedness in tpm_stm_i2c_send() and tpm_st33_i2c_probe().

Use enum list for the module definitions (TWL4030_MODULE_*) which will ease
up future work with the IDs.
At the same time group the IDs in block of five so it is easier to find the
ID we are looking for (to count the number they stand for).
At the same time define TWL_MODULE_LED so client drivers can switch to use
it as soon as it is possible.

Microsoft published the protocol specification of HID over i2c:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh852380.aspx
This patch introduces an implementation of this protocol.
This implementation does not includes the ACPI part of the specification.
This will come when ACPI 5.0 devices enumeration will be available.
Once the ACPI part is done, OEM will not have to declare HID over I2C
devices in their platform specific driver.

On newer SH-/R-Mobile SoCs, a clock supply to the I2C hardware block,
which is used to generate the SCL clock output, is getting faster than
before, while on the other hand, the SCL clock control registers, ICCH
and ICCL, stay unchanged in 9-bit-wide (8+1).
On such silicons, the internal SCL clock counter gets incremented every
2 clocks of the operating clock.
This patch makes it configurable through platform data.

R-Car I2C is similar with SH7760 I2C.
But the SH7760 I2C driver had many workaround operations, since H/W had bugs.
Thus, it was pointless to keep compatible between SH7760 and R-Car I2C drivers.
This patch creates new Renesas R-Car I2C driver.

Let I2C bus segments behind multiplexers have a class. This allows for
device auto-detection on these segments. As long as parent segments
don't share the same class, it should be fine.
I implemented support in drivers i2c-mux-gpio and i2c-mux-pca954x. I
left i2c-mux-pca9541 and i2c-mux-pinctrl alone for the moment as I
don't know if this feature makes sense for the use cases of these
drivers.

We no longer have users for the set_hs_extmute callback which has been
replaced by hs_extmute_gpio so the codec driver can handle the external
mute if it is needed by the board.
