2020-09-12affs: fix basic permission bits to actually workMax Staudt
[ Upstream commit d3a84a8d0dde4e26bc084b36ffcbdc5932ac85e2 ] The basic permission bits (protection bits in AmigaOS) have been broken in Linux' AFFS - it would only set bits, but never delete them. Also, contrary to the documentation, the Archived bit was not handled. Let's fix this for good, and set the bits such that Linux and classic AmigaOS can coexist in the most peaceful manner. Also, update the documentation to represent the current state of things. 2018-05-30affs_lookup(): close a race with affs_remove_link()Al Viro
commit 30da870ce4a4e007c901858a96e9e394a1daa74a upstream. we unlock the directory hash too early - if we are looking at secondary link and primary (in another directory) gets removed just as we unlock, we could have the old primary moved in place of the secondary, leaving us to look into freed entry (and leaving our dentry with ->d_fsdata pointing to a freed entry). 2016-06-07affs: fix remount failure when there are no options changedMikulas Patocka
commit 01d6e08711bf90bc4d7ead14a93a0cbd73b1896a upstream. Commit c8f33d0bec99 ("affs: kstrdup() memory handling") checks if the kstrdup function returns NULL due to out-of-memory condition. However, if we are remounting a filesystem with no change to filesystem-specific options, the parameter data is NULL. In this case, kstrdup returns NULL (because it was passed NULL parameter), although no out of memory condition exists. The mount syscall then fails with ENOMEM. This patch fixes the bug. We fail with ENOMEM only if data is non-NULL. The patch also changes the call to replace_mount_options - if we didn't pass any filesystem-specific options, we don't call replace_mount_options (thus we don't erase existing reported options). 2015-09-10fs/affs: make root lookup from blkdev logical sizePranay Kr. Srivastava
This patch resolves https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16531. When logical blkdev size > 512 then sector numbers become larger than the device can support. Make affs start lookup based on the device's logical sector size instead of 512. 2015-04-11direct_IO: use iov_iter_rw() instead of rw everywhereOmar Sandoval
The rw parameter to direct_IO is redundant with iov_iter->type, and treated slightly differently just about everywhere it's used: some users do rw & WRITE, and others do rw == WRITE where they should be doing a bitwise check. 2014-04-07affs: add mount option to avoid filename truncatesFabian Frederick
Normal behavior for filenames exceeding specific filesystem limits is to refuse operation.
