commit a1e533ec07d583d01349ef13c0c965b8633e1b91 upstream.
Since commit 27a4c827c34ac4256a190cc9d24607f953c1c459
fbcon: use the cursor blink interval provided by vt
two attempts have been made at fixing a possible hang caused by
cursor_timer_handler. That function registers a timer to be triggered at
"jiffies + fbcon_ops.cur_blink_jiffies".
A new case had been encountered during initialisation of clcd-pl11x:
fbcon_fb_registered
do_fbcon_takeover
-> do_register_con_driver
fbcon_startup
(A) add_cursor_timer (with cur_blink_jiffies = 0)
-> do_bind_con_driver
visual_init
fbcon_init
(B) cur_blink_jiffies = msecs_to_jiffies(vc->vc_cur_blink_ms);
If we take an softirq anywhere between A and B (and we do),
cursor_timer_handler executes indefinitely.
Instead of patching all possible paths that lead to this case one at a
time, fix the issue at the source and initialise cur_blink_jiffies to
200ms when allocating fbcon_ops. This was its default value before
aforesaid commit. fbcon_cursor or fbcon_init will refine this value
downstream.

Panel ESD detection supports few different methods, and should determine
the detection mode before checking the correct DT value. This change
make sure BTA and TE detection mode does not need to care for REG read
DT settings.

This change enables the QSEED3 bypass mode in driver, until now if
scaling was not required driver was falling back to default configuration.
This change checks if scaling is not required on VIG pipes, driver only
programs the pixel extension and configures the bypass mode in QSEED3.
This change also corrects the LUT configurations for separable and
circular filters.

updated after every dynamic switch. Currently, this node
is updated to an invalid value during dynamic resolution switch.

There might be cases where driver gets the resolution switch
request followed by suspend or adb shell stop. In such cases,
since the ctl parameters are already reconfigured, driver skips
the NULL kickoff during overlay off due to invalid switch state.
This leads to memory leak as the used_bufs are left intact. Fix
by moving the used_bufs to free_list, so that memory can be freed
later and also leaves the buffer list clean.

Add support to handle dynamic resolution switch request during
cont-splash handoff, even before driver receives the first commit.
The cmd_panel_on is ideally called right before the first kickoff,
if the panel is not already on. Make explicit panel_cmd_on call during
reconfigure to match with the ctl_stop/ctl_start done during the
process of switching. This would make sure complete cleanup and
re-configuration of the ctl is done.

When multiple panel timings are available and enumerating videomode
list, pixclock is calculated using htotal, vtotal and refresh rate.
But fb var struct is populated with actual pixclock value calculated
by DSI. This pixclock mismatch would cause issues, when usermode
does GET_VSCREENINFO/PUT_VSCREENINFO. Fix by using the same pixclock
calculation for both structures.

Fix issues with multi-rect to allow the multi-rects on the same
z-order. In multi-rect use cases the rect 0 of the pipes have higher
priority than rect 1. The change checks the priority of rect on the
right mixer with the priority of rect on the pipe staged on left mixer.

Starting with DSI PHY hardware revisions 3.0 and above, data lane swap
configurations need to be programmed via the DSI PHY interface. In other
cases, a new register interface has been introduced to program the lane
swap configuration for DSI controller revision 2.0 and above. Refactor
the existing implementation to account for these hardware changes.

interrupts that will not be handled by the CEC framework (if

DSI controller requests for PM_QOS while sending DCS commands, so
that CPU does not go to idle state until DCS command transfer is
finished. But this request can come independently from multiple
clients such as different DSI controllers. So this change adds
ref count based PM_QOS request to avoid warning for multiple QOS
add request and unwanted results, if one client removes the request
while the other clients still need it.

If mdss version is not part of get driver ops function currently we set
the driver ops to NULL. When driver ops is NULL post processing driver
will treat that msm is legacy target and program the post processing
registers. For newer target if get driver ops function is not updated pp
driver will assume it as legacy msm target and programme the registers
incorrectly. Changing the default behaviour to stub function pointers
will ensure that above use-case is gracefully handled.

For multi-rect pipes, driver tries to release the
pipe only when both pipes for both rectangles
are in the destroy list. Current code always
detects that there are two pipes with the same
number in the list, since the first iteration to
look for the pipe in the list always correspond to
the same pipe used as the initial index.
This causes that driver unnecesary halt the dma pipe
when still in use for the second rect that is still not
freed. Fix this issue by making sure the same pipe
objects are not used to check if there are two pipes
with the same index in the release list.

This reverts commit 05f3cbbe5cc481141434a90e606ff9fc92da5e0d
("msm: mdss: hdmi: check clk state before power on"). The check
for clock state was required for earlier target's fast hot plug
use cases, and uses the clock framework for check for clock rates.
This approach does not work on msmcobalt and causes the power on
sequence for HDMI to fail.

Existing rotator block is serviced by fbdev rotator driver.
This change enables usermode to use external v4l2 rotator driver by
exporting rotator interrupts (WB0 & WB1) thru interrupt domain,
and share smmu access for writeback and rotator.
mdp_irq_export is only set if has_separate_rotator is specified
in device tree and MDSS version is prior to 2.0.
mdp_irq_export is set to zero otherwise, and will effectively
disable mdp irq export and will introduce only minimal overhead
to interrupt processing. This is the default behaviour for
MDSS newer than 2.0.
