The surrounding code and the fact that the previous two if's are
rendered useless without this "else" (since SIS_340==55 and XGI_20==75
are greater than SIS_661==15) suggests that the "else" is indeed
missing.

Since v2.6.7 the 68328 frame buffer driver contains a check for
CONFIG_FB_68328_INVERT. But the Kconfig symbol FB_68328_INVERT was never
added to the tree. Remove this check and do some related cleaning up.

This patch moves data allocated using kzalloc to managed data allocated
using devm_kzalloc and cleans now unnecessary kfrees in probe and remove
functions. Also, linux/device.h is added to make sure the devm_*()
routine declarations are unambiguously available. The function
mddi_dummy_remove is removed as it is no longer required after
removing the kfree. The variable ret is also done away with.
The following Coccinelle semantic patch was used for making a part of
the change:

This adds support for the framebuffer available in the Cirrus
Logic CLPS711X CPUs.
FB features:
- 1-2-4 bits per pixel.
- Programmable panel size to a maximum of 1024x256 at 4 bps.
- Relocatible Frame Buffer (SRAM or SDRAM).
- Programmable refresh rates.
- 16 gray scale values.
This new driver is designed to usage with devicetree only.
The driver have been tested with custom board equipped
Cirrus Logic EP7312.

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc
Pull ARM SoC cleanups from Olof Johansson:
"This merge window brings a good size of cleanups on various platforms.
Among the bigger ones:
- Removal of Samsung s5pc100 and s5p64xx platforms. Both of these
have lacked active support for quite a while, and after asking
around nobody showed interest in keeping them around. If needed,
they could be resurrected in the future but it's more likely that
we would prefer reintroduction of them as DT and
multiplatform-enabled platforms instead.
- OMAP4 controller code register define diet. They defined a lot of
registers that were never actually used, etc.
- Move of some of the Tegra platform code (PMC, APBIO, fuse,
powergate) to drivers/soc so it can be shared with 64-bit code.
This also converts them over to traditional driver models where
possible.
- Removal of legacy gpio-samsung driver, since the last users have
been removed (moved to pinctrl)
Plus a bunch of smaller changes for various platforms that sort of
dissapear in the diffstat for the above. clps711x cleanups, shmobile
header file refactoring/moves for multiplatform friendliness, some
misc cleanups, etc"

The Versatile CLCD helpers call dma_alloc_writecombine() which is only
available on ARM and AVR32, meaning they won't build on other platforms
including arm64. Unfortunately the current Kconfig enables the symbol
by default if ARCH_VEXPRESS is defined which means that it is enabled on
arm64 when building for the ARM reference platforms and models for ARMv8
since they have many hardware similarities with their pre-ARMv8 systems.
Since all the systems that need the helpers are ARM systems fix this by
adding a dependency on ARM.

commit 11c32d7b6274cb0f ("video: move Versatile CLCD helpers")
moved files out of the plat-versatile directory but in the process
got a few of the dependencies wrong:
- If CONFIG_FB is not set, the file no longer gets built, resulting
in a link error
- If CONFIG_FB or CONFIG_FB_ARMCLCD are disabled, we also get a
Kconfig warning for incorrect dependencies due to the symbol
being 'select'ed from the platform Kconfig.
- When the file is not built, we also get a link error for missing
symbols.
This patch should fix all three, by removing the 'select' statements,
changing the Kconfig description of the symbol to be enabled in
exactly the right configurations, and adding inline stub functions
for the case when the framebuffer driver is disabled.

This moves the Versatile-specific helper code and panel database
down into the drivers/video folder next to the CLCD driver

to platform data.
This is necessary to rid the Integrator of this final <plat/*>

Commit b4aa0163056b ("efifb: Implement vga_default_device() (v2)") added
efifb vga_default_device() so EFI systems that do not load shadow VBIOS or
setup VGA get proper value for boot_vga PCI sysfs attribute on the
corresponding PCI device.
Xorg doesn't detect devices when boot_vga=0, e.g., on some EFI systems such
as MacBookAir2,1. Xorg detects the GPU and finds the DRI device but then
bails out with "no devices detected".
Note: When vga_default_device() is set boot_vga PCI sysfs attribute
reflects its state. When unset this attribute is 1 whenever
IORESOURCE_ROM_SHADOW flag is set.
With introduction of sysfb/simplefb/simpledrm efifb is getting obsolete
while having native drivers for the GPU also makes selecting sysfb/efifb
optional.
Remove the efifb implementation of vga_default_device() and initialize
vgaarb's vga_default_device() with the PCI GPU that matches boot
screen_info in pci_fixup_video().
[bhelgaas: remove unused "dev" in efifb_setup()]

This reverts commit e1edf18b20076da83dd231dbd2146cbbc31c0b14.
This patch was a misguided attempt at fixing offb for LE ppc64
kernels on BE qemu but is just wrong ... it breaks real LE/LE
setups, LE with real HW, and existing mixed endian systems
that did the fight thing with the appropriate device-tree
property. Bad reviewing on my part, sorry.
The right fix is to either make qemu change its endian when
the guest changes endian (working on that) or to use the
existing foreign endian support.

re-add the perm check (we unified the module param and sysfs checks,

Move the panel/encoder driver compatible-string converter from
arch/arm/mach-omap2/display.c to omapdss driver. That is a more logical
place for it, as it's really an omapdss internal hack.
The code is rewritten to follow the video node graph, starting from
omapdss. This removes the need to have the device compatible-string
database.

We don't have any working boards using this panel right now, and the
panel driver looks odd compared to the panel specs. For example, the
panel spec does not mention any QVGA pin.
So, while this patch adds DT support to the driver, it's not really
supported and there are not bindings documentation for the panel until
someone can verify how the panel actually works.

When omapdss writes to DISPC_POL_FREQ register, it always ORs the bits
with the current contents of the register, never clearing the old ones,
causing wrong signal polarity settings.
As we write all the bits in DISPC_POL_FREQ, we don't need to care about
the current contents of the register. So fix the issue by constructing
new register value from scratch.
