The stack object “ci” has a total size of 8 bytes. Its last 3 bytes
are padding bytes which are not initialized and leaked to userland
via “copy_to_user”.

wBytesPerInterval in SuperSpeed Endpoint Companion Descriptor needs
to be set large enough to reserve enough bus time for associated
periodic endpoint.
Originally, wBytesPerInterval for mtp's interrupt IN endpoint is set
to 2 and its single interrupt transfer will be split into many 2 bytes
interrupt transfers. So, we change wBytesPerInterval to INTR_BUFFER_SIZE
to ensure interrupt transfer will not be split.

In some scenarios such as USBCV tests, multiple set_alt
could be issued with same interface and alternate
setting. In that case, EPs are disabled and enabled,
we get the usage count but do not put it. This causes
a mismatch and DWC3 LPM does not work anymore. Fix
this issue by moving put_usage_count to ffs_func_set_alt.

Replace unsigned long with __u32 as 4 bytes is the length
of field where as unsigned long could be 8 bytes on 64 bit
machine. Also, replace short and char with u16 and u8
respectively for better readability.

Userspace f_fs client e.g. ADB daemon can re-open ep0 file node
on adb_read/write error (or on bus reset). This results in device
disabling and enabling pull-up on bus reset. USBCV CH9 tests which
perform bus resets also fail due to this.
Fix this by not failing adb_read on bus reset so that adbd client
woudln't attempt ep0-file close. This behavior is not changed for
composition switch or cable disconnect by checking if adb_read
was attempting first transfer after online state or it was in middle
of a session when disconnect happened.

commit 82f29356165b6a584 ("usb: gadget: f_mass_storage: Allow USB LPM
upon ep disable") decrements power usage count by 1 for dwc3 device
in thread handler as part of do_set_interface(). fsg_disable() and
fsg_unbind() will raise exception for status change so that status change
is handled in thread handler. Due to this, there is a chance that
fsg_thread can run two times and results in calling do_set_interface()
twice for disabling endpoints. This causes decrementing power usage count
two times instead of 1 and power usage count can become negative. If cable
is disconnected at this time, it could cause unclocked access or fsg_thread
gets stuck. common->fsg bieng non NULL confirms that MSC interface is being
enabled. Hence fix the issue by decrementing power usage count only right
after disbling endpoints as disabling endpoints happens once due to check
of common->fsg.

Two notify requests are being queued for one available modem
response. So for the first GET_ENCAPSULATED_RESPONSE we provide
the host with the available response. Now for the next
GET_ENCAPSULATED_COMMAND we notify the host that the response is
available even before the modem is ready with a response because
of the extra notify request queued on the interrupt endpoint.
This causes a STALL for the next GET_ENCAPSULATED_RESPONSE request.
This is caused because we are queueing a notify request from the
completion handler of the interrupt endpoint request when the
response queue is not empty.
Fix this by queuing a notify request when a new response is
available only after the current resposne is send to the Host.

Latency involved in handling dwc3 interrupt in real time threaded
interrupt is sometimes resulting into RT throttling. Hence queue
bottom half work from dwc3 hard irq handler to a high priority
workqueue. Also, update the corresponding irq flag in host
controller platform driver.

This is a workaround for STAR 9000961433 which affects only version
3.00a of the DWC_usb3 core. This prevents the controller interrupt from
being masked while handling events. Enabling interrupt moderation allows
us to work around this issue because once the GEVNTCOUNT.count is
written the IRQ is immediately deasserted and won't be asserted again
until GEVNTCOUNT.EHB is cleared.

Implement interrupt moderation which allows the interrupt rate to be
throttled. To enable this feature the dwc->imod_interval must be set to
1 or greater. This value specifies the minimum inter-interrupt interval,
in 250 ns increments. A value of 0 disables interrupt moderation.
This applies for DWC_usb3 version 3.00a and higher and for DWC_usb31
version 1.20a and higher.

Now that all the infrastructure is in place, we can
clear events in the top-half handler in order to
bring IRQ line low ASAP.
This is also a necessary step in order to implement
workaround for known erratum in follow-up patches.

In configfs_composite_bind, it has
"cn->strings.s = cn->configuration;"
When usb_string_copy is invoked. it would
allocate memory, copy input string, release previous pointed memory space,
and use new allocated memory.

If gadget is disconnected and connected quickly, in the failed case,
cn->configuration memory has been released by usb_string_copy kfree but
configfs_composite_bind hasn't been run in time to assign new allocated
"cn->configuration" pointer to "cn->strings.s".
When "strlen(s->s) of usb_gadget_get_string is being executed, the dangling
memory is accessed, "BUG: KASAN: use-after-free" error occurs.

type-C cable quickly several times without seeing

commit 82f29356165b6a584 ("usb: gadget: f_mass_storage: Allow USB LPM
upon ep disable") just increments power usage count by 1 for dwc3 device
in thread handler. Since child count for dwc3 parent remains 0, there is
possibility of dwc3 parent going into suspend even if dwc3 power usage
count is set to 1. This causes unclocked register access as mdwc gets
runtime suspended and mass storage thread handler disables the endpoint.
Fix this issue by calling usb_gadget_autopm_get_async() in set_alt which
increments dwc3 power usage count and carry out resume asynchronously.

When USB host is re-enumerating USB MTP device multiple time, it
has been observed that USB MTP enumeration fails. USB MTP host
side environment (i.e. libmtp) is looking for USB MTP device to
pass string descriptor as "MTP" for successful enumeration. Due
to iInterface ID conflict, USB device is passing next interface
related string descriptor instead of USB MTP interface related
string descriptor. This results into no enumeration with USB MTP
configuration. Fix this issue by resetting mtp_string_defs string
descriptor id to zero, so next mtp_function_bind() call re-allocates
string ID.

commit a3e98f0134da ("usb: phy: qmp: Select usb3 phy mode before
initializing PHY") moved the USB/DP mode selection to just prior
to performing PHY initialization. This resolved initialization
failure however it still may fail to result in SuperSpeed
enumeration on when first switching from DP back to USB3 mode.
According to HW documentation the correct place to perform the
mode switch is while the PHY is under reset, so move this step
to msm_ssphy_qmp_reset().

Driver registers net device in bind but does not unregister it upon
driver unbind. Upon composition switch ncm net device is no longer
in use, hence unregister and free it in driver unbind. Unregistering
net device sends notification to user space which can be used by user
space entities to perform necessary actions for example updating UI.
Symmetrically allocate and register net device in driver bind.

Add missing sanity check to the bulk-in completion handler to avoid an
integer underflow that can be triggered by a malicious device.
This avoids leaking 128 kB of memory content from after the URB transfer
buffer to user space.

Make sure to check for the required interrupt-in endpoint to avoid
dereferencing a NULL-pointer should a malicious device lack such an
endpoint.
Note that a fairly recent change purported to fix this issue, but added
an insufficient test on the number of endpoints only, a test which can
now be removed.

This driver needlessly took another reference to the tty on open, a
reference which was then never released on close. This lead to not just
a leak of the tty, but also a driver reference leak that prevented the
driver from being unloaded after a port had once been opened.

Upstream commit 98d74f9ceaef ("xhci: fix 10 second timeout on removal of
PCI hotpluggable xhci controllers") fixes a problem with hot pluggable PCI
xhci controllers which can result in excessive timeouts, to the point where
the system reports a deadlock.
The same problem is seen with hot pluggable xhci controllers using the
xhci-plat driver, such as the driver used for Type-C ports on rk3399.
Similar to hot-pluggable PCI controllers, the driver for this chip
removes the xhci controller from the system when the Type-C cable is
disconnected.
The solution for PCI devices works just as well for non-PCI devices
and avoids the problem.

If we're dealing with SuperSpeed endpoints, we need
to make sure to pass along the companion descriptor
and initialize fields needed by the Gadget
API. Eventually, f_fs.c should be converted to use
config_ep_by_speed() like all other functions,
though.
