When cleaning up the configurations, make sure we only free the number
of configurations and interfaces that we could have allocated.

This reverts commit 563b2f7a6bed72d34560df5f4358e948eb52a43f.
The previous approach of dynamically updating the writeable
permission bits of the power/data_role attributes only works
if the userspace application has root permission since the
call to sysfs_update_group() removes and re-adds the files. If
they had previously been chown/chgrp'ed, the ownership would be
reset. On the other hand, if there was a ueventd rule to
dynamically update the ownership, then the mode would always
be overridden with the static umask given in the ueventd rule,
contradicting the driver's determination of writeability.
Hence, the more comprehensive fix should be done in userspace
to not rely solely on writeability. Still, this change needs
to be reverted since it can still cause a race between ueventd
and the userspace service trying to check writability.

[ Upstream commit 5d111f5190848d6fb1c414dc57797efea3526a2f ]
wait_for_connected() wait till a port change status to
USB_PORT_STAT_CONNECTION, but this is not possible if
the port is unpowered. The loop will only exit at timeout.
Such case take place if an over-current incident happen
while system is in S3. Then during resume wait_for_connected()
will wait 2s, which may be noticeable by the user.

commit 4d644abf25698362bd33d17c9ddc8f7122c30f17 upstream.
Commit 1b9ba000 ("Allow function drivers to pause control
transfers") states that USB_GADGET_DELAYED_STATUS is only
supported if data phase is 0 bytes.
It seems that when the length is not 0 bytes, there is no
need to explicitly delay the data stage since the transfer
is not completed until the user responds. However, when the
length is 0, there is no data stage and the transfer is
finished once setup() returns, hence there is a need to
explicitly delay completion.
This manifests as the following bugs:
Prior to 946ef68ad4e4 ('Let setup() return
USB_GADGET_DELAYED_STATUS'), when setup is 0 bytes, ffs
would require user to queue a 0 byte request in order to
clear setup state. However, that 0 byte request was actually
not needed and would hang and cause errors in other setup
requests.
After the above commit, 0 byte setups work since the gadget
now accepts empty queues to ep0 to clear the delay, but all
other setups hang.

commit 249a32b7eeb3edb6897dd38f89651a62163ac4ed upstream.
Based on USB2.0 Spec Section 11.12.5,
"If a hub has per-port power switching and per-port current limiting,
an over-current on one port may still cause the power on another port
to fall below specific minimums. In this case, the affected port is
placed in the Power-Off state and C_PORT_OVER_CURRENT is set for the
port, but PORT_OVER_CURRENT is not set."
so let's check C_PORT_OVER_CURRENT too for over current condition.

commit 229bc19fd7aca4f37964af06e3583c1c8f36b5d6 upstream.
Don't rely on event interrupt (EINT) bit alone to detect pending port
change in resume. If no change event is detected the host may be suspended
again, oterwise roothubs are resumed.
There is a lag in xHC setting EINT. If we don't notice the pending change
in resume, and the controller is runtime suspeded again, it causes the
event handler to assume host is dead as it will fail to read xHC registers
once PCI puts the controller to D3 state.
[ 268.520969] xhci_hcd: xhci_resume: starting port polling.
[ 268.520985] xhci_hcd: xhci_hub_status_data: stopping port polling.
[ 268.521030] xhci_hcd: xhci_suspend: stopping port polling.
[ 268.521040] xhci_hcd: // Setting command ring address to 0x349bd001

[ 268.521149] xhci_hcd: resume root hub
[ 268.521163] xhci_hcd: port resume event for port 3
[ 268.521168] xhci_hcd: xHC is not running.
[ 268.521174] xhci_hcd: handle_port_status: starting port polling.
[ 268.596322] xhci_hcd: xhci_hc_died: xHCI host controller not responding, assume dead
The EINT lag is described in a additional note in xhci specs 4.19.2:
"Due to internal xHC scheduling and system delays, there will be a lag
between a change bit being set and the Port Status Change Event that it
generated being written to the Event Ring. If SW reads the PORTSC and
sees a change bit set, there is no guarantee that the corresponding Port
Status Change Event has already been written into the Event Ring."

Currently on pm_resume, the driver queues resume_work only if
vbus_active is true or id_state is false. So when the system is
suspended with host mode cable connected and the cable is
disconnected, the port still remains in host mode. Fix this by
unconditionally queueing resume_work from pm_resume and adding
required pm_relax in B_IDLE branch of sm_work.
Also create a freezable workqueue for sm_work so that the work
items do not race with pm_resume of child devices.

Currently the SSUSB QMP PHY driver mandates that vls_clamp_reg be
passed from the DTSI. But this register cannot be accessed on a
platform on which Linux is a guest OS. This can lead to errors
when trying to enable autonomous mode. Work around this situation
by making the vls_clamp_reg property as optional.

USBPD spec mentions max time within which device that transitions
from sink power role to source needs to send PS_RDY message after
PS_RDY received from other device as part of PR_SWAP. Currently
USB PD driver is taking time around 380msec i.e greater than tNewSrc
(275msec) and resulting in USB PD complaince test "2.2.3.1.2
Procedure/Checks for Tester (Source) Originated Swap" failure. Fix it
by waiting only till VBUS voltage reaches VSafe5Vmin.

USB debugfs entries can be accessed when USB session is not active or
USB is in low power mode. This results into unclocked register access.
Fix this issue by checking USB LPM status.
debugfs_create_regset32() fops related APIs are used to get USB dwc3
register dump. These fops don't have support to query device status
before accessing registers. Hence by default disabling creation of
regdump debugfs entry.

commit bba57eddadda936c94b5dccf73787cb9e159d0a5 upstream.
Corsair Strafe appears to suffer from the same issues
as the Corsair Strafe RGB.
Apply the same quirks (control message delay and init delay)
that the RGB version has to 1b1c:1b15.
With these quirks in place the keyboard works correctly upon
booting the system, and no longer requires reattaching the device.

commit f1e255d60ae66a9f672ff9a207ee6cd8e33d2679 upstream.
In general, accessing userspace memory beyond the length of the supplied
buffer in VFS read/write handlers can lead to both kernel memory corruption
(via kernel_read()/kernel_write(), which can e.g. be triggered via
sys_splice()) and privilege escalation inside userspace.
Fix it by using simple_read_from_buffer() instead of custom logic.

commit e33eab9ded328ccc14308afa51b5be7cbe78d30b upstream.
The "r" variable is an int and "bufsize" is an unsigned int so the
comparison is type promoted to unsigned. If usb_control_msg() returns a
negative that is treated as a high positive value and the error handling
doesn't work.

commit 2f839823382748664b643daa73f41ee0cc01ced6 upstream.
Silicon Labs defines alternative VID/PID pairs for some chips that when
used will automatically install drivers for Windows users without manual
intervention. Unfortunately, these IDs are not recognized by the Linux
module, so using these IDs improves user experience on one platform but
degrades it on Linux. This patch addresses this problem.

commit 4a762569a2722b8a48066c7bacf0e1dc67d17fa1 upstream.
Uniden UBC125 radio scanner has USB interface which fails to work
with cdc_acm driver:

Andrey Konovalov reported a possible out-of-bounds problem for the
cdc_parse_cdc_header function. He writes:
It looks like cdc_parse_cdc_header() doesn't validate buflen
before accessing buffer[1], buffer[2] and so on. The only check
present is while (buflen > 0).
So fix this issue up by properly validating the buffer length matches
what the descriptor says it is.

KASAN found a use-after-free in xhci_free_virt_device+0x33b/0x38e
where xhci_free_virt_device() sets slot id to 0 if udev exists:
if (dev->udev && dev->udev->slot_id)
dev->udev->slot_id = 0;
dev->udev will be true even if udev is freed because dev->udev is
not set to NULL.
set dev->udev pointer to NULL in xhci_free_dev()
The original patch went to stable so this fix needs to be applied
there as well.
