Currently GSI driver is clearing Doorbell to GSI in gsi_suspend(),
when it receives function suspend and notifying suspend to GSI in work
queue context. In ipa_suspend_work_handler(), driver is first checking
whether GSI wrapper is ready to suspend before doing xdci_suspend(). This
check fails if function resume received before ipa_suspend_work_handler()
gets chance to run. Due to this, state machine still stays at CONNECTED
state. When function resume is received, state machine is not handling
resume event and results in not ringing Doorbell to GSI. This eventually
causes data stall. Hence fix the issue by ringing Doorbell to GSI if in
case check for suspend fails in ipa_suspend_work_handler.

In the case of ffs_free_inst() called, whole ffs_dev structure is
freed. Userspace related API do not check if ffs_dev is freed or
not.
If ffs endpoint is opened by userspace, ffs_free_inst() is executed,
mark inst_exist to false but do not free instance structures until
ffs_data is freed.
Besides, ffs_data is allocated in ffs_fs_mount() while opts->dev
is allocated when ffs instance created. And opts->dev will
be freed when ffs instance freed.
If ffs instance is freed and created once, opts->dev is allocated
to new memory, but since ffs_fs_mount() won't be called in this
case, new opts->dev miss the ffs_data address and
ffs_data->private_data still point to old opts->dev address which
is already freed.
So new allocated opts->dev need to initialize opts->dev->ffs_data,
and ffs_private_data also need to update new allocated opts->dev
address.

Currently driver is passing generic string as part of string descriptor
for all supported qdss channels. Instead pass channel specific string
because USB host may represent the enumerated device using string passed
in usb string descriptor.

For NCM gadget function, net device structure opts->net
will be freed when NCM unbind, but user space related
device node doesn't know it, will access net structre
without checking it exist or not, finally lead to crash.
Fix this by adding check gadget function bind or not.

commit 1fbbb78f25d1291274f320462bf6908906f538db upstream.
As a holdover from the old g_file_storage gadget, the g_mass_storage
legacy gadget driver attempts to unregister itself when its main
operating thread terminates (if it hasn't been unregistered already).
This is not strictly necessary; it was never more than an attempt to
have the gadget fail cleanly if something went wrong and the main
thread was killed.
However, now that the UDC core manages gadget drivers independently of
UDC drivers, this scheme doesn't work any more. A simple test:
modprobe dummy-hcd
modprobe g-mass-storage file=...
rmmod dummy-hcd
ends up in a deadlock with the following backtrace:

What happens is that removing the dummy-hcd driver causes the UDC core
to unbind the gadget driver, which it does while holding the udc_lock
mutex. The unbind routine in g_mass_storage tells the main thread to
exit and waits for it to terminate.
But as mentioned above, when the main thread exits it tries to
unregister the mass-storage function driver. Via the composite
framework this ends up calling usb_gadget_unregister_driver(), which
tries to acquire the udc_lock mutex. The result is deadlock.
The simplest way to fix the problem is not to be so clever: The main
thread doesn't have to unregister the function driver. The side
effects won't be so terrible; if the gadget is still attached to a USB
host when the main thread is killed, it will appear to the host as
though the gadget's firmware has crashed -- a reasonably accurate
interpretation, and an all-too-common occurrence for USB mass-storage
devices.
In fact, the code to unregister the driver when the main thread exits
is specific to g-mass-storage; it is not used when f-mass-storage is
included as a function in a larger composite device. Therefore the
entire mechanism responsible for this (the fsg_operations structure
with its ->thread_exits method, the fsg_common_set_ops() routine, and
the msg_thread_exits() callback routine) can all be eliminated. Even
the msg_registered bitflag can be removed, because now the driver is
unregistered in only one place rather than in two places.

QDSS Data and QDSS Ctrl related string descriptors are defined but those
are not being advertised to Host. Hence update USB QDSS interface
descriptor with USB QDSS string descriptor. This helps some of host side
application to detect enuermated QDSS interface and allows IO with it.

This change starts using dl_max_packet_size value sent by host
as part of USB RNDIS init message communication. Using default
dl_max_packet_size value results into low throughput with more
data loss on host side as host side RNDIS can't support
de-aggregation (applicable for Linux Host RNDIS driver) or it
ignores received more data then host side RNDIS can handle. To
use fine tune dl_max_packet_size for better throughput, driver
selects minimum value between host supported dl_max_packet_size
and default size (i.e. 9216 bytes as RNDIS IN aggregation size).

In the case of gsi_free_inst() called, whole f_gst structure is freed.
GSI control related API like gsi_ctrl_dev_poll do not check if f_gsi
is freed or not, only check gsi_ctrl_port is NULL or not.
If GSI driver is opened by userspace, gsi_free_inst() is executed,
mark inst_exist to false but do not free instance structures and
deregister misc device until misc device is closed.
Besides, in the GSI control related API read/write/ioctl/poll,
check if GSI instance is freed or not.

In this case gsi_ctrl_clear_cpkt_queues function is called
which is holding spinlock and in the meantime dwc3_interrupt
occurred on same CPU which in turn is calling gsi_ctrl_clear_cpkt_queues
function and it is trying to acquire the same spinlock causing
deadlock.
This change disables the interrupts when spinlock is acquired
in gsi_ctrl_clear_cpkt_queues function.

Currently we allocate IPC log buffer when instance is created,
and free IPC log buffer when instance is freed.
So we can't get IPC log when issue happens after the instance
is freed.
Move IPC log buffer allocate and free to module init and exit.

For example: In non-NCM composition user tries

This allows Host to load NDIS 6.0 driver for RNDIS over ethernet.
Design objectives of NDIS 6.0 is to enhance driver performance
and scalability. Observing higher peak tput (308Mbps --> 480Mbps)
for FTP transfer on live network. It resolves the data stall that
is being caused by the sudden transfer abort coming from the NDIS
5.0 Host driver.

The req->complete seems to presist the callback pointer for
the control requests. This causes the serial of the accessory
to be overridden when an accessory function specific out
control request is issued right after the ACCESSORY_SEND_STRING
control request. Therefore, assign a no-op req complete function
when nothing needs to be done once the request is completed.

[ Upstream commit 43aef5c2ca90535b3227e97e71604291875444ed ]
This fixes an error message that was probably copied and pasted. The same
message is used for both the in and out endpoints, so it makes it impossible
to know which one actually failed because both cases say "IN".
Make the out endpoint error message say "OUT".

commit b3ce3ce02d146841af012d08506b4071db8ffde3 upstream.
When system try to close /dev/usb-ffs/adb/ep0 on one core, at the same
time another core try to attach new UDC, which will cause deadlock as
below scenario. Thus we should release ffs lock before issuing
unregister_gadget_item().

commit b7f73850bb4fac1e2209a4dd5e636d39be92f42c upstream.
Companion descriptor is only used for SuperSpeed endpoints,
if the endpoints are HighSpeed or FullSpeed, the Companion
descriptor will not allocated, so we can only access it if
gadget is SuperSpeed.
I can reproduce this issue on Rockchip platform rk3368 SoC
which supports USB 2.0, and use functionfs for ADB. Kernel
build with CONFIG_KASAN=y and CONFIG_SLUB_DEBUG=y report
the following BUG:

When system try to close /dev/usb-ffs/adb/ep0 on one core, at the same
time another core try to attach new UDC, which will cause deadlock as
below scenario. Thus we should release ffs lock before issuing
unregister_gadget_item().

Whenever userspace calls read system call for ctrl_dev, ccid driver
waits till it receives control request from host. Once it receives
control data, it unblocks read and passes data to userspace. But if
cable is disconnected, then ccid driver is not unblocking read due
to which next open of ctrl_dev failing. This results in ccid functionality
not working after cable reconnection as userspace not able to open
ctrl_dev. Hence fix the issue by checking for online status and if
online flag is cleared, unblock read and return -ENODEV.
Also align request buffer length to OUT endpoint's max packet size,
when userspace tries to queue buffer length that is not multiple of
OUT endpoint max packet as USB controller expects length multiple of
maxpacket.

In the completion handler of rndis command requests we
are parsing the request buffers without checking the
status of the request. This might cause parsing of the
erroneous requests. Fix this by checking the status

It is possible that host sends SEND_STRING control request with zero
length and in that case, driver ends up setting string as NULL. This
results in CTS failure for accessory test. Hence add check for length
and update string only if length is nonzero.

Driver needs to pass qdss data received from mdm qdss
bridge driver to host PC. This requires a software data
path using IN endpoint. Bridge driver needs to open
qdss_mdm channel and use exported write() API to pass
the qdss data received from mdm. Driver calls the notify
call back upon write completion.

Currently driver is removing pm_qos request after acquiring spinlock in
pcm_close() callback. This could cause warning as pm_qos_remove_request()
can sleep. Hence move removing pm_qos request before acquiring spin lock.

commit dc9217b69dd6089dcfeb86ed4b3c671504326087 upstream.
f_mass_storage has a memorry barrier issue with the sleep and wake
functions that can cause a deadlock. This results in intermittent hangs
during MSC file transfer. The host will reset the device after receiving
no response to resume the transfer. This issue is seen when dwc3 is
processing 2 transfer-in-progress events at the same time, invoking
completion handlers for CSW and CBW. Also this issue occurs depending on
the system timing and latency.
To increase the chance to hit this issue, you can force dwc3 driver to
wait and process those 2 events at once by adding a small delay (~100us)
in dwc3_check_event_buf() whenever the request is for CSW and read the
event count again. Avoid debugging with printk and ftrace as extra
delays and memory barrier will mask this issue.
Scenario which can lead to failure:
-----------------------------------
1) The main thread sleeps and waits for the next command in
get_next_command().
2) bulk_in_complete() wakes up main thread for CSW.
3) bulk_out_complete() tries to wake up the running main thread for CBW.
4) thread_wakeup_needed is not loaded with correct value in
sleep_thread().
5) Main thread goes to sleep again.
The pattern is shown below. Note the 2 critical variables.
* common->thread_wakeup_needed
* bh->state
CPU 0 (sleep_thread) CPU 1 (wakeup_thread)
============================== ===============================
bh->state = BH_STATE_FULL;
smp_wmb();
thread_wakeup_needed = 0; thread_wakeup_needed = 1;
smp_rmb();
if (bh->state != BH_STATE_FULL)
sleep again ...
As pointed out by Alan Stern, this is an R-pattern issue. The issue can
be seen when there are two wakeups in quick succession. The
thread_wakeup_needed can be overwritten in sleep_thread, and the read of
the bh->state maybe reordered before the write to thread_wakeup_needed.
This patch applies full memory barrier smp_mb() in both sleep_thread()
and wakeup_thread() to ensure the order which the thread_wakeup_needed
and bh->state are written and loaded.
However, a better solution in the future would be to use wait_queue
method that takes care of managing memory barrier between waker and
waiter.

gsi_ctrl_dev_write() and gsi_ctrl_dev_read() API is directly using user
space provided buffer when qti_packet_debug is enabled. This can result
into using untrusted buffer pointer. Hence use cpkt->buf i.e. kernel
space buffer pointer instead of directly using user space provided buffer.
