It looks like there is a possibility of a double-free vulnerability on an
error path of the f_midi_set_alt function in the f_midi driver. If the
path is feasible then free_ep_req gets called twice:

This ensures that the midi function will only work if the proper number of
IN and OUT requrests are allocated. Otherwise the function will work with less
requests then what the user wants.

In some cases the "Allocate & copy" block in ffs_epfile_io() is not
executed. Consequently, in such a case ffs_alloc_buffer() is never called
and struct ffs_io_data is not initialized properly. This in turn leads to
problems when ffs_free_buffer() is called at the end of ffs_epfile_io().
This patch uses kzalloc() instead of kmalloc() in the aio case and memset()
in non-aio case to properly initialize struct ffs_io_data.

On spin lock release in rx_submit, gether_disconnect get a chance to
run, it makes port_usb NULL, rx_submit access NULL port USB, hence null
pointer crash.
Fixed by releasing the lock in rx_submit after port_usb is used.

There is a possible case of double unlock of the
spinlock ccid_dev->lock when the ccid daemon is trying
to write while the disable is being processed.
Fix this by going to done once the unlock is done.
Also, remove the unnecessary goto at the end of the
function call.

Max packet size that GNSS can use is 8K.
Increase the max buff size support in driver from 4K
to 8K so that transfers larger than 4K are not failed

When rndis data transfer is in progress, some Windows7 Host PC is not
sending the GET_ENCAPSULATED_RESPONSE command for receiving the response
for the previous SEND_ENCAPSULATED_COMMAND processed.
The rndis function driver appends each response for the
SEND_ENCAPSULATED_COMMAND in a queue. As the above process got corrupted,
the Host sends a REMOTE_NDIS_RESET_MSG command to do a soft-reset.
As the rndis response queue is not freed, the previous response is sent
as a part of this REMOTE_NDIS_RESET_MSG's reset response and the Host
block any more Rndis transfers.
Hence free the rndis response queue as a part of this soft-reset so that
the correct response for REMOTE_NDIS_RESET_MSG is sent properly during the
response command.

When usb gadget is set gadget serial function, it will be crash in below
situation.
It will clean the 'port->port_usb' pointer in gserial_disconnect() function
when usb link is inactive, but it will release lock for disabling the endpoints
in this function. Druing the lock release period, it maybe complete one request
to issue gs_write_complete()--->gs_start_tx() function, but the 'port->port_usb'
pointer had been set NULL, thus it will be crash in gs_start_tx() function.
This patch adds the 'port->port_usb' pointer checking in gs_start_tx() function
to avoid this situation.

The source_sink_alloc_func() function is supposed to return error
pointers on error. The function is called from usb_get_function() which
doesn't check for NULL returns so it would result in an Oops.
Of course, in the current kernel, small allocations always succeed so
this doesn't affect runtime.

Currently the driver queues OUT EP request after ensuring that
is_busy flag is false, and then sets it true. It might be
possible that the queued request is completed before the
execution reaches next line to set is_busy to true. As a result,
is_busy remains true even after successful completion and no
further request is queued.
Fix this by first setting is_busy to true and then queueing the
request.

The current f_hid driver doesn't handle GET_PROCOTOL and
SET_PROCOTOL requests, which are required to operate HID
gadgets in BOOT mode. This patch implements this feature for
devices that have the same implementation for REPORT and BOOT mode
so that these devices are recognized by older BIOSes.

Since commit: ba1582f22231 ("usb: gadget: f_hid: use alloc_ep_req()")
we cannot allocate any requests in bind() as we check if we should
align request buffer based on endpoint descriptor which is assigned
in set_alt().
Allocating request in bind() function causes a NULL pointer
dereference.
This commit moves allocation of IN request from bind() to set_alt()
to prevent this issue.

As IN request has to be allocated in set_alt() and released in
disable() we cannot use mutex to protect it as we cannot sleep
in those funcitons. Let's replace this mutex with a spinlock.

Add support for the UAC1 function with the configfs framework
along with following other changes:
- Add dynamic updation of AudioStreaming interface numbers in
the AudioControl interface descriptor.
- Add superspeed support.
- Stop playback on func disable so that pending request's
completion is called before request has been freed in unbind.
- Fix minor compilation issue.

In case config_ep_by_speed() returns error, endpoint descriptors
would not get populated. This results into NULL pointer dereference
when ep desc is accessed later. Fix this by bailing out set_alt if
config_ep_by_speed() API returns error.

Substream period size potentially can be changed in runtime, however
this is not accounted in the data copying routine, the change replaces
the cached value with an actual value from substream runtime.
As a side effect the change also removes a potential division by zero
in u_audio_iso_complete() function, if there is a race with
uac_pcm_hw_free(), which sets prm->period_size to 0.

There is no necessity to copy PCM stream ring buffer area and size
properties to UAC private data structure, these values can be got
from substream itself.
The change gives more control on substream and avoid stale caching.

In u_audio_iso_complete, the runtime hw_ptr is updated before the
data is actually copied over to/from the buffer/dma area. When
ALSA uses this hw_ptr, the data may not actually be available to
be used. This causes trash/stale audio to play/record. This
patch updates the hw_ptr after the data has been copied to avoid
this.

snd_pcm_ops are not supposed to change at runtime. All functions
working with snd_pcm_ops provided by <sound/pcm.h> work with
const snd_pcm_ops. So mark the non-const structs as const.

As per USB spec, multiple-bytes fields are stored
in little-endian order. Use CPU<->LE helpers for
such fields.

This patch adds a new function 'f_uac1'
(f_uac1 with virtual "ALSA card") that
uses recently created u_audio API. Comparing
to legacy f_uac1 function implementation it
doesn't require any real Audio codec to be
present on the device. In f_uac1 audio
streams are simply sinked to and sourced
from a virtual ALSA sound card created
using u_audio API.
Legacy f_uac1 approach is to write audio
samples directly to existing ALSA sound
card
f_uac1 approach is more generic/flexible
one - create an ALSA sound card that
represents USB Audio function and allows to
be used by userspace application that
may choose to do whatever it wants with the
data received from the USB Host and choose
to provide whatever it wants as audio data
to the USB Host.
f_uac1 also has capture support (gadget->host)
thanks to easy implementation via u_audio.
By default, capture interface has 48000kHz/2ch
configuration, same as playback channel has.
f_uac1 descriptors naming convention
uses f_uac2 driver naming convention that
makes it more common and meaningful.
Comparing to f_uac1_legacy, the f_uac1 doesn't
have volume/mute functionality. This is because
the f_uac1 volume/mute feature unit was dummy
implementation since that driver creation (2009)
and never had any real volume control or mute
functionality, so there is no any difference
here.
Since f_uac1 functionality, exposed
interface to userspace (virtual ALSA card),
input parameters are so different comparing
to f_uac1_legacy, that there is no any
reason to keep them in the same file/module,
and separate function was created.
g_audio can be built using one of existing
UAC functions (f_uac1, f_uac1_legacy or f_uac2)
