Add synchronization support between clients that operate on different
modes, i.e. synchronous or asynchronous. The synchronous client will

During device reboot when IPA is going for shutdown,

As new transfer mechanisms are added to the EC codebase, they may
not support v2 of the EC protocol.
If the v3 initial handshake transfer fails, the kernel will try
and call cmd_xfer as a fallback. If v2 is not supported, cmd_xfer
will be NULL, and the code will end up causing a kernel panic.
Add a check for NULL before calling the transfer function, along
with a helpful comment explaining how one might end up in this
situation.

It seems that the default case should return AE_CTRL_TERMINATE, instead
of falling through to case ACPI_RESOURCE_TYPE_END_TAG and returning AE_OK;
otherwise the line of code at the end of the function is unreachable and
makes no sense:
return AE_CTRL_TERMINATE;

Currently the HPD completion is re-initialized after signaling
to the audio/display userspace. This can cause race conditions
and we could end up missing the acknowledgment from audio or
display userspace completely.

Restrict printing of kernel virtual addresses in SPS driver.
In debug prints, handles to bam device structures may be printed
as integers. As these handles are obtained by casting pointer
to bam device structures to integer, they can reveal addresses
of the structures to attackers.
Cast the handles in debug prints to pointers, printed with with %pK,
which hides these values if kptr_restrict is set (default on Android).
