commit 3c8cb9ad032d737b874e402c59eb51e3c991a144 upstream.
Command buffers (skb's) are allocated by the main driver, and freed upon
the last use. That last use is often in mwifiex_free_cmd_buffer(). In
the meantime, if the command buffer gets used by the PCI driver, we map
it as DMA-able, and store the mapping information in the 'cb' memory.
However, if a command was in-flight when resetting the device (and
therefore was still mapped), we don't get a chance to unmap this memory
until after the core has cleaned up its command handling.
Let's keep a refcount within the PCI driver, so we ensure the memory
only gets freed after we've finished unmapping it.
Noticed by KASAN when forcing a reset via:
echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/.../reset
The same code path can presumably be exercised in remove() and
shutdown().

This bug has been around in different forms for a while. It was sort of
noticed in commit 955ab095c51a ("mwifiex: Do not kfree cmd buf while
unregistering PCIe"), but it just fixed the double-free, without
acknowledging the potential for use-after-free.

commit e7ee74b56f23ba447d3124f2eccc32033cca501d upstream.
This event is used by the Firmware to limit the RX BA win size
for a specific link.
The event handler updates the new size in the mac's sta->sta struct.
BA sessions opened for that link will use the new restricted
win_size. This limitation remains until a new update is received or
until the link is closed.

commit 42c7372a111630dab200c2f959424f5ec3bf79a4 upstream.
When starting a new BA session, we must pass the win_size to the FW.
To do this we take max_rx_aggregation_subframes (BA RX win size)
which is stored in ieee80211_sta structure (e.g per link and not per HW)
We will use the value stored per link when passing the win_size to
firmware through the ACX_BA_SESSION_RX_SETUP command.

commit 50ea05efaf3bed7dd34bcc2635a8b3f53bd0ccc1 upstream.
Currently mac80211 does not inform the driver of the session
block ack timeout when starting a rx aggregation session.
Drivers that manage the reorder buffer need to know this
parameter.
Seeing that there are now too many arguments for the
drv_ampdu_action() function, wrap them inside a structure.

Added vendor commands for low level control over
RF sectors. It allows user space a fine-grained control
over RF characteristics for TX and RX, such as direction
and gain of TX/RX. Main usages are debugging and diagnostics,
but also operational use cases.
API includes getting/setting a specific RF sector
configuration, as well as getting/setting the selected
sector which is used to communicate with a station.

Current handling of wil->platform_ops.suspend can lead to
bad cases, as wil_status_suspending was cleared before
wil_status_resuming was set and bus request voting was restored
too late.
In addition, bus voting in suspend should be done only at the end
of he suspend flow.

Move the bus request restore to be done prior to
sending wmi_resume to the device, as the device can restore
the data path upon receiving this command.

There is a design limitation in host driver. Driver
sends regulatory_hint_user for both user-space and
11d country to kernel. So when wiphy re-registration
happens, kernel tells the source as USER even for 11d.
And per driver logic the 11d needs to be disabled
if INI gCountryCodePriority is set.
To mitigate this issue, storing the country source
in the platform driver.

commit 9cc4b7cb86cbcc6330a3faa8cd65268cd2d3c227 upstream.
The driver was making changes to the skb_header without
ensuring it was writable (i.e. uncloned).
This patch also removes some boiler plate header size
checking/adjustment code as that is also handled by the
skb_cow_header function used to make header writable.

commit 455a1eb4654c24560eb9dfc634f29cba3d87601e upstream.
The incoming skb header may be resized if header space is
insufficient, which might change the data adddress in the skb.
Ensure that a cached pointer to that data is correctly set by
moving assignment to after any possible changes.

commit a5b60de6972decc6b50a39abb376077c3c3621c8 upstream.
This patch fixes the issue specific to AP. AP is started with WEP
security and external station is connected to it. Data path works
in this case. Now if AP is restarted with WPA/WPA2 security,
station is able to connect but ping fails.
Driver skips the deletion of WEP keys if interface type is AP.
Removing that redundant check resolves the issue.

commit 5f0a221f59ad6b72202ef9c6e232086de8c336f2 upstream.
We already ensure 64 bytes alignment and add padding if required
during skb_aggr allocation.
Alignment and padding in mwifiex_11n_form_amsdu_txpd() is redundant.
We may end up accessing more data than allocated size with this.
This patch fixes following issue by removing redundant padding.

commit 6183468a23fc6b6903f8597982017ad2c7fdefcf upstream.
Similar to commit fcd2042e8d36 ("mwifiex: printk() overflow with 32-byte
SSIDs"), we failed to account for the existence of 32-char SSIDs in our
debugfs code. Unlike in that case though, we zeroed out the containing
struct first, and I'm pretty sure we're guaranteed to have some padding
after the 'ssid.ssid' and 'ssid.ssid_len' fields (the struct is 33 bytes
long).
So, this is the difference between:
# cat /sys/kernel/debug/mwifiex/mlan0/info
...
essid="0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef "
...
and the correct output:
# cat /sys/kernel/debug/mwifiex/mlan0/info
...
essid="0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef"
...

In order to preserve the connection in suspend/resume flow,
wil6210 host allows going to PCIe D3hot state in suspend,
instead of performing a full wil6210 device reset. This
requires the platform ability to initiate wakeup in case of
RX data. To check that, a new platform API is added.
In addition, add cfg80211 suspend/resume callbacks
implementation.

Driver fails to load FW for sparrow D0 devices in some cases.
Fix this by returning correct value from wil_fw_verify_file_exists
when D0 FW file is not detected for any reason.

The 11ad spec requires 11ad devices to be able to receive 8KB
packets over the air. Currently this is only possible by
loading the driver with mtu_max=7912 but this also forces
a smaller block ACK window size which reduces performance
for stations which transmit normal sized packets (<2KB).
Fix this problem as follows:
1. Add a module parameter rx_large_buf that when set,
will allocate 8KB RX buffers regardless of mtu_max
setting.
2. When receiving block ACK request agree to any window
size not above our maximum, regardless of the mtu_max setting.
This means if the other side transmits small packets (2KB)
it can still set up block ACK with a large window size,
and get better performance.

The power save profile is set to default state in case of FW reset,
regardless of the state before the reset took place.
Fix this by saving the current power save profile and restore it
in case of FW reset.

On some platforms, the regulatory domain (country) is set
using mechanisms external to WIFI, such as cellular modem
and GPS. In these scenarios the regulatory hints that
are received over the air (in beacons and similar) can
conflict and even cause an incorrect country to be set.
Add an option to ignore the OTA regulatory hints to better
support such scenarios.

commit 48dc5fb3ba53b20418de8514700f63d88c5de3a3 upstream.
The driver reads a value from hfa384x_from_bap(), which may fail,
and then assigns the value to a local variable. gcc detects that
in in the failure case, the 'rlen' variable now contains
uninitialized data:
In file included from ../drivers/net/wireless/intersil/hostap/hostap_pci.c:220:0:
drivers/net/wireless/intersil/hostap/hostap_hw.c: In function 'hfa384x_get_rid':
drivers/net/wireless/intersil/hostap/hostap_hw.c:842:5: warning: 'rec' may be used uninitialized in this function [-Wmaybe-uninitialized]
if (le16_to_cpu(rec.len) == 0) {
This restructures the function as suggested by Russell King, to
make it more readable and get more reliable error handling, by
handling each failure mode using a goto.
