| * | | | | clk: msm: clock: Allow removing clock voltage votes during sleepDeepak Katragadda2016-07-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Vote on the active-only CX voltage rail resource on behalf of the hmss_ahb_clk. This way, when APPS attempts to go to sleep and the clock is disabled, the corresponding voltage vote is removed as well. This fix will allow valid clock rates such as 252MHz to be configured for the HDMI PHY and enable certain HDMI modes to work correctly instead of failing the validation checks when setting the VCO rate. | * | | | | | clk: msm8996: compile 8996 clock files only for ARCH_MSM8996Srinivas Ramana2016-07-22
| |/ / / / / | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently on msm-4.4 kernel, MSM8996 clock files are built when ARCH_QCOM is enabled. Compile 8996 clock files only when ARCH_MSM8996 is enabled, to avoid any issue when compiling for other targets. This frees up sufficent space to implement the DxFSM workaround. CRs-Fixed: 1043040 Change-Id: I9499497cb558efcf3c73e7145ce65d3f129be696 Signed-off-by: Osvaldo Banuelos <osvaldob@codeaurora.org>

The sequencer uses this information to ensure stable operation when CPU retention or power-collapse and cluster collapse LPMs are enabled. CRs-Fixed: 1045435 Change-Id: I5e41ce376c694736128ceb051db86f93467fdaea Signed-off-by: Osvaldo Banuelos <osvaldob@codeaurora.org>

The threshold corner is used by OSM to determine the APM supply for each DCVS setpoint. The crossover corner is used by OSM to request a specific voltage during the APM switch transition. In particular the workaround prevents the OSM sequence and FSMs from waiting indefinitely for PLL lock in certain scenarios when the droop detector is active. In addition, the new sequencer is compatible with 3 levels of ACC settings, thus update the driver to reflect this. It is allowed to enable/disable clocks from interrupts, so common Exynos ARM clock management code for CPUfreq should use 'irqsave' version of spin_lock calls to avoid potential deadlock caused by spin_lock recursion. The same spin_lock is used by gate/mux clocks during enable/disable calls. This deadlock, can be reproduced by enabling CPUfreq (ondemand or userspace) and decoding video with s5p-mfc driver. We leave MMPLL9 at the maximum speed (624 MHz), and we use MMPLL2 and MMPLL8 for the other frequencies. To make switching frequencies faster, we ping-pong between MMPLL2 and MMPLL8 when we're switching between frequencies that aren't the maximum. Implement custom rcg clk ops for this type of frequency switching. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some gdsc power domains can have a gds_hw_controller block inside to help ensure all slave devices within the power domain are idle before the gdsc is actually switched off. This is mainly useful in power domains which host a MMU, in which case its necessary to make sure there are no outstanding MMU operations or pending bus transactions before the power domain is turned off. In gdscs with gds_hw_controller block, its necessary to check the gds_hw_ctrl status bits instead of the ones in gdscr, to determine the state of the powerdomain. While at it, also move away from using jiffies and use ktime APIs instead for busy looping on status bits. Such platforms are msm8916, apq8084 and msm8974. The RPM is a dedicated hardware engine for managing the shared SoC resources in order to keep the lowest power profile. It communicates with other hardware subsystems via shared memory and accepts clock requests, aggregates the requests and turns the clocks on/off or scales them on demand.
