Following the merging of mach-kirkwood into mach-mvebu, the removal of
mach-kirkwood, and the progress of the integration of mach-dove into
mach-mvebu, this commit makes a few updates to the Marvell README file
in the kernel documentation.

Marvell has very recently released a public version of the "Functional
specifications" and "Hardware specifications" datasheets for the
Marvell Armada XP SoC. This allows contributors and developers not
under NDA with Marvell to get more details about this SoC than what
the current kernel code shows, and hopefully allows to improve the
support for this SoC in the mainline kernel, as well as in other
projects.

This commit extends the existing clk-cpu driver used on Marvell Armada
XP platforms to support the dynamic frequency scaling of the CPU
clock. Non-dynamic frequency change was already supported (and used
before secondary CPUs are started), but the dynamic frequency change
requires a completely different procedure.
In order to achieve this, the clk_cpu_set_rate() function is reworked
to handle two separate cases:
- The case where the clock is enabled, which is the new dynamic
frequency change code, implemented in clk_cpu_on_set_rate(). This
part will be used for cpufreq activities.
- The case where the clock is disabled, which is the existing
frequency change code, moved in clk_cpu_off_set_rate(). This part
is already used to set the clock frequency of the secondary CPUs
before starting them.
In order to implement the dynamic frequency change function, we need
to access the PMU DFS registers, which are outside the currently
mapped "Clock Complex" registers, so a new area of registers is now
mapped. This affects the Device Tree binding, but we are careful to do
it in a backward-compatible way (by allowing the second pair of
registers to be non-existent, and in this case, ensuring
clk_cpu_on_set_rate() returns an error).
Note that technically speaking, the clk_cpu_on_set_rate() does not do
the entire procedure needed to change the frequency dynamically, as it
involves touching a number of PMSU registers. This is done through a
clock notifier registered by the PMSU driver in followup commits.

Instead of using enum for clock ID, let's switch imx6qdl clock driver to
use macro. In this case, device tree can reuse these macros to improve

Marvell has very recently released a public version of the "Functional
specifications" and "Hardware specifications" datasheets for the
Marvell Armada 370 SoC. This allows contributors and developers not
under NDA with Marvell to get more details about this SoC than what
the current kernel code shows, and hopefully allows to improve the
support for this SoC in the mainline kernel, as well as in other
projects.

Pull ARM SoC cleanups from Olof Johansson:
"This merge window brings a good size of cleanups on various platforms.
Among the bigger ones:
- Removal of Samsung s5pc100 and s5p64xx platforms. Both of these
have lacked active support for quite a while, and after asking
around nobody showed interest in keeping them around. If needed,
they could be resurrected in the future but it's more likely that
we would prefer reintroduction of them as DT and
multiplatform-enabled platforms instead.
- OMAP4 controller code register define diet. They defined a lot of
registers that were never actually used, etc.
- Move of some of the Tegra platform code (PMC, APBIO, fuse,
powergate) to drivers/soc so it can be shared with 64-bit code.
This also converts them over to traditional driver models where
possible.
- Removal of legacy gpio-samsung driver, since the last users have
been removed (moved to pinctrl)
Plus a bunch of smaller changes for various platforms that sort of
dissapear in the diffstat for the above. clps711x cleanups, shmobile
header file refactoring/moves for multiplatform friendliness, some
misc cleanups, etc"

Merge "ARM: tegra: move fuse code out of arch/arm" from Thierry Reding:
This branch moves code related to the Tegra fuses out of arch/arm and
into a centralized location which could be shared with ARM64. It also
adds support for reading the fuse data through sysfs.
Included is also some preparatory work that moves Tegra-related header
files from include/linux to include/soc/tegra as suggested by Arnd.
Furthermore the Tegra chip ID is now retrieved using a function rather
than a variable so that sanity checks can be done. This is convenient
in subsequent patches that will move some of the code that's currently
called from Tegra machine setup into regular initcalls so that it can
be reused on 64-bit ARM. The sanity checks help with verifying that no
code tries to obtain the Tegra chip ID before the underlying driver is
properly initialized.

Implement fuse driver for Tegra20, Tegra30, Tegra114 and Tegra124. This
replaces functionality previously provided in arch/arm/mach-tegra, which
is removed in this patch.
While at it, move the only user of the global tegra_revision variable
over to tegra_sku_info.revision and export tegra_fuse_readl() to allow
drivers to read calibration fuses.

This patch removes s5p64x0 related spi because of no more support for
s5p64x0 SoCs. Meanwhile, cleanup SPI DT bindings for s5p6440-spi, it

This pull is missing nouveau, Ben has been stuck trying to track down
a very longstanding bug that revealed itself due to some other
changes. I've asked him to send you a direct pull request for nouveau
once he cleans things up. I'm away until Monday so don't want to
delay things, you can make a decision on that when he sends it, I have
my phone so I can ack things just not really merge much.
It has one trivial conflict with your tree in armada_drv.c, and also
the pull request contains some component changes that are already in
your tree, the base tree from Russell went via Greg's tree already,

drm/panel: Changes for v3.17-rc1
Panels can now be more finely controlled via .prepare() and .unprepare()
callbacks in addition to .enable() and .disable(). New kerneldoc details
what they are supposed to do and when they should be called.
The simple panel driver gained support for a couple of new panels and it
is now possible to specify additional delays during power up and power
down sequences if panels require it.
DSI devices can now advertise that they support non-continuous clock
mode which will allow DSI host controllers to disable the high speed
clock after transmissions to save power.

This series of patches add the support of DRM/KMS drivers for STMicroelectronics
chipsets stih416 and stih407.
Hardware is split in two main blocks: Compositor and TVout. Each of them
includes specific hardware IPs and the display timing are controlled by a specific
Video Timing Generator hardware IP (VTG).
Compositor is made of the follow hardware IPs:
- GDP (Generic Display Pipeline) which is an entry point for graphic (RGB)
buffers
- VDP (Video Diplay Pipeline) which is an entry point for video (YUV) buffers
- HQVDP (High Quality Video Display Processor) that supports scaling,
deinterlacing and some miscellaneous image quality improvements.
It fetches the Video decoded buffers from memory, processes them and pushes
them to the Compositor through a HW dedicated bus.
- Mixer is responsible of mixing all the entries depending of their
respective z-order and layout
TVout is divided in 3 parts:
- HDMI to generate HDMI signals, depending of chipset version HDMI phy can
change.
- HDA to generate signals for HD analog TV
- VIP to control/switch data path coming from Compositor
On stih416 compositor and Tvout are on different dies so a Video Trafic Advance
inter-die Communication mechanism (VTAC) is needed.

In addition of the drivers for the IPs listed before a thin I2C driver (hdmiddc) is used
by HDMI driver to retrieve EDID for monitor.
To unify interfaces of GDP and VDP we create a "layer" interface called by
compositor to control both GPD and VDP.
Hardware have memory contraints (alignment, contiguous) so we use CMA drm helpers functions
to allocate frame buffer.
File naming convention is:
- sti_* for IPs drivers
- sti_drm_* for drm functions implementation.

This time around we have a mix of new hw enablement (mdp5 v1.3 /
apq8084), plus devicetree and various upstream changes (mostly
adapting to CCF vs downstream clk driver differences) for mdp4 /
apq8064. With these drm/msm patches plus a few other small patchsets
(from linaro qcom integration branch.. mostly stuff queued up for
3.17) we have the inforce ifc6410 board working, with gpu. Much nicer
to work with than ancient vendor android branch :-)
