Currently charge inhibit feature is enabled by default and the
charge inhibit threshold is not configurable. Add a device tree
parameter "qcom,chg-inhibit-threshold-mv" through which the
charge inhibit threshold can be configured. If the property is
not specified, then charge inhibit feature is kept disabled.

As per the hardware characterization, update the battery empty
voltage threshold to 2.8V. Since this moves the voltage little
away from cutoff voltage, update the empty SOC interrupt handling
to report SOC as 0. Since we only need the rising edge of empty
SOC interrupt, modify the interrupt flag as well.

Add support for sending multiple roi information via the 2A/2B
command to the panel. This mode is only supported on certain
panels. This change will be help in sending multiple partial
updates that will be merged as a single partial update.

ACD is a hardware block which mitigates the impact of VDD
supply droops on processor performance and energy efficiency.
It has direct interfaces with OSM to trigger recalibration
during DCVS operations. Add support to configure ACD during
boot to allow the CPU clock source to be switched to ACD
before DCVS transactions handled by OSM begin.

Add driver support to configure mempools from the device tree.
This will enable mempools to configure per device specific and
reduces the high kgsl memory usage based on configuration.

sas_ata_strategy_handler() adds the works of the ata error handler to
system_unbound_wq. This workqueue asynchronously runs work items, so the
ata error handler will be performed concurrently on different CPUs. In
this case, ->host_failed will be decreased simultaneously in
scsi_eh_finish_cmd() on different CPUs, and become abnormal.
It will lead to permanently inequality between ->host_failed and
->host_busy, and scsi error handler thread won't start running. IO
errors after that won't be handled.
Since all scmds must have been handled in the strategy handler, just
remove the decrement in scsi_eh_finish_cmd() and zero ->host_busy after
the strategy handler to fix this race.

This patch provides a proc/PID/timerslack_ns interface which exposes a
task's timerslack value in nanoseconds and allows it to be changed.
This allows power/performance management software to set timer slack for
other threads according to its policy for the thread (such as when the
thread is designated foreground vs. background activity)
If the value written is non-zero, slack is set to that value. Otherwise
sets it to the default for the thread.
This interface checks that the calling task has permissions to to use
PTRACE_MODE_ATTACH_FSCREDS on the target task, so that we can ensure
arbitrary apps do not change the timer slack for other apps.

When kernel.perf_event_open is set to 3 (or greater), disallow all
access to performance events by users without CAP_SYS_ADMIN.
Add a Kconfig symbol CONFIG_SECURITY_PERF_EVENTS_RESTRICT that
makes this value the default.
This is based on a similar feature in grsecurity
(CONFIG_GRKERNSEC_PERF_HARDEN). This version doesn't include making
the variable read-only. It also allows enabling further restriction
at run-time regardless of whether the default is changed.

On no-so-small systems, it is possible for a single process to cause an
OOM condition by filling large pipes with data that are never read. A
typical process filling 4000 pipes with 1 MB of data will use 4 GB of
memory. On small systems it may be tricky to set the pipe max size to
prevent this from happening.
This patch makes it possible to enforce a per-user soft limit above
which new pipes will be limited to a single page, effectively limiting
them to 4 kB each, as well as a hard limit above which no new pipes may
be created for this user. This has the effect of protecting the system
against memory abuse without hurting other users, and still allowing
pipes to work correctly though with less data at once.
The limit are controlled by two new sysctls : pipe-user-pages-soft, and
pipe-user-pages-hard. Both may be disabled by setting them to zero. The
default soft limit allows the default number of FDs per process (1024)
to create pipes of the default size (64kB), thus reaching a limit of 64MB
before starting to create only smaller pipes. With 256 processes limited
to 1024 FDs each, this results in 1024*64kB + (256*1024 - 1024) * 4kB =
1084 MB of memory allocated for a user. The hard limit is disabled by
default to avoid breaking existing applications that make intensive use
of pipes (eg: for splicing).

A new element got inserted into enum mx35_clks with commit 3713e3f5e927
("clk: imx35: define two clocks for rtc"). This insertion shifted most
nummerical clock assignments to a new nummerical value which in turn
rendered most hardcoded nummeric values in imx35.dtsi incorrect.
Restore the existing order by moving the newly introduced clock to the
end of the enum. Update the dts documentation accordingly.

OpenSSH expects the (non-blocking) read() of pty master to return
EAGAIN only if it has received all of the slave-side output after
it has received SIGCHLD. This used to work on pre-3.12 kernels.
This fix effectively forces non-blocking read() and poll() to
block for parallel i/o to complete for all ttys. It also unwinds
these changes:

This driver adds support for the STM CoreSight IP block, allowing any
system compoment (HW or SW) to log and aggregate messages via a
single entity.
The CoreSight STM exposes an application defined number of channels
called stimulus port. Configuration is done using entries in sysfs
and channels made available to userspace via configfs.

The sysFS "status" entry conveys a wealth of information about
the status of the HW but goes agains the sysFS rule of one topic
per file.
This patch rectify the situation by adding read-only entries for
each of the field formaly displayed by "status". The ABI
documentation is kept up to date.

Some STM devices adjust software assigned master numbers depending on
the trace source and its runtime state and whatnot. This patch adds
a sysfs attribute to inform the trace-side software that master numbers
assigned to software sources will not match those in the STP stream,
so that, for example, master/channel allocation policy can be adjusted
accordingly.

This is a wrap-up of three patches pending upstream approval.
I'm bundling them because they are interdependent, and it'll be
easier to drop it on rebase later.
1. dm: allow a dm-fs-style device to be shared via dm-ioctl
Integrates feedback from Alisdair, Mike, and Kiyoshi.
Two main changes occur here:
- One function is added which allows for a programmatically created
mapped device to be inserted into the dm-ioctl hash table. This binds
the device to a name and, optional, uuid which is needed by udev and
allows for userspace management of the mapped device.
- dm_table_complete() was extended to handle all of the final
functional changes required for the table to be operational once
called.
2. init: boot to device-mapper targets without an initr*
Add a dm= kernel parameter modeled after the md= parameter from
do_mounts_md. It allows for device-mapper targets to be configured at
boot time for use early in the boot process (as the root device or
otherwise). It also replaces /dev/XXX calls with major:minor opportunistically.
The format is dm="name uuid ro,table line 1,table line 2,...". The
parser expects the comma to be safe to use as a newline substitute but,
otherwise, uses the normal separator of space. Some attempt has been
made to make it forgiving of additional spaces (using skip_spaces()).
A mapped device created during boot will be assigned a minor of 0 and
may be access via /dev/dm-0.
An example dm-linear root with no uuid may look like:
root=/dev/dm-0 dm="lroot none ro, 0 4096 linear /dev/ubdb 0, 4096 4096 linear /dv/ubdc 0"
Once udev is started, /dev/dm-0 will become /dev/mapper/lroot.

Update arm cache documentation about qcom,dump-size to dump

On ARM systems the cache topology cannot be probed at runtime, in
particular, it is impossible to probe which CPUs share a given cache
level. Power management software requires this knowledge to implement
optimized power down sequences, hence this patch adds a document that
defines the DT cache bindings for ARM systems. The bindings are compliant
with ePAPR (PowerPC bindings), even though most of the cache nodes
properties requirements are overriden, because caches geometry for
architected caches is probeable on ARM systems. This patch also adds
properties that are specific to ARM architected caches to the existing ones
defined in the ePAPR v1.1, as bindings extensions.

Currently, current limit (ILIM) for WLED is configured only for
pmi8994. ILIM levels differs in pmicobalt. Also, the step size
assumed before cannot go well with the different levels.
Default ILIM value differs for LCD and AMOLED mode. Taking this
all into account, add a separate function to configure ILIM for
different PMIC subtypes.

For newer PMICs like pmicobalt, AMOLED_VOUT can be programmed via
independent registers. Also the option to configure AVDD voltage
through SWIRE and SPMI mode is present. Add support to program
the AVDD voltage and mode through these registers. AVDD TRIM
adjustment is needed only for pmi8952 and pmi8994. It is not
needed for pmicobalt. Support it.

The QBT1000 driver provides an API for communicating
with trustzone applications and handles firmware event
interrupts.
The driver supports the following features:
- loading and unloading trustzone applications
- sending commands to trustzone applications
- voting/un-voting for clocks before/after making
a trustzone call
- receiving firmware events, signalled by interrupts,
and providing them to the driver client
- sending a key event in response to firmware finger
detect events
